Rated 1 de 5 de par don't buy Every time I used this blower I go through several shear pins just trying to move snow. I have a nice flat paved driveway and seldom pick up debris, yet this thing just eats pins. I'm spending $5 to $15 for pins per storm. My old blower used 2-4 pins per season. The shoot is constantly clogging up, requiring a lot of wasted time to clear it out, which was rarely an issue with my old blower. I have a wide driveway so one of the main reasons I bought was for the 40 foot throwing distance. Wrong! On a dryer snow it throws 20-25 feet at best and the distance decreases down to 5-10 feet on wetter snow. On very wet snow it just clogs. The reverse speed is so slow it is infuriating. Purchasers beware.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Will not blow snow, only air. Worst machine I have ever owned. Shear pins break constantly. Shear pins should break when contacting rocks and blocks of ice, not snow. Useless for blowing snow. Purchased this year, have tried with every storm this year trying to find a way to make it work, every time I gave up and finished with my old machine that did not fail.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Don't really recommend this piece Have it since Nov 2020, so this is the 2nd snow season. Also, last season was terrible, too. Could not blow too much snow, and spent 3 sets of shear pins, if this is the reason for protecting the impellers, then it will be okay. But last year I had to keep cleaning the unclogging the augers and the chute. It was terrible in the cold winter time to deal with it. This year is worse. The gear box is start leaking after the 2nd snow day of this season. I have this piece just for 2 seasons, and used less than 10 times. The quality is not what I expect for.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Please do not buy this machine! I've never written a review but felt I needed to. Go to any site selling this machine and you'll find this type of review. The auger and impeller would stop, although engaged by the controls. (It behaved as if the drive belts were not working) The machine would clog and snow had to be cleared from auger area. The same problem and clearing process was repeated several times. This was not a very heavy snow, but the Cub couldn’t handle it and forget about trying to get through the plow pile at the end of the drive. I took mine to a certified cub Cadet Mechanic who tried to tighten the belt system but the next big snow and it did the same thing. I've had this for one year but the first year we hardly had any snow. When I called the Tech dept for help, they said they hadn't heard of this issue. Hmmmmm, every site had this exact complaint. Please do not buy this machine.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Converted to 2X I've had mine for a few years but didn't really use is much because we would go to Florida for a few months of winter. The times that I did use it, I was quite disappointed with its performance. It would plug up and just "plow" the snow into a heap. I finally went online and compared part manuals for the 3X and 2X. I bought 2 more augers and some spacers and converted it to a 2 stage. I did have to grind some welds that held the shroud over the impeller and remove it. I tried it out a couple days ago on some really wet heavy snow and it worked great. If you're looking to buy, I'd recommend a 2 stage.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Fantastic Was time for a new snow blower this year, and after much research, had decided on the cub cadet 3x26. Not too wide, fairly easy to handle. But the MAJOR reason I decided to go with the 3 stage was I was tired of dealing with the end of my driveway where the snowplow loads up all the heavy packed snow. Well, it goes through it no problem. This snow blower will not throw snow 40' as some sites state, but will do the job. I had considered Ariens and Husqvarna snow blowers, but went with the Cub Cadet. Feel I got a good deal from my local Home Depot on it paying an even $1000 after price match and using military discount. We will see how it holds up to the snow this year. Will also make sure to run non ethanol gas through it at the end of the season so the carb doesn't gum up. Great product, great price.

Rated 5 de 5 de par This thing WANTS to move snow!!! Bought it to replace a 22 year old track drive Craftsman that finally broke beyond repair. (Can't get parts.) This thing wants to go! It's so fast and torquey that I've only used it on forward speed #1 so far. Haven't had any snow since I bought it two weeks ago, so I decided to tackle some of the "plow droppings" to widen the entrances to my driveways. These snow piles were solid enough for me to walk on top of them without making barely any footprints on them. The machine tore apart these piles like they were butter, softened and whipped butter at that! My 26" 3X works better than my tracked Craftsman ever did on the plow droppings, even after the droppings were re-frozen to near solid! Very happy I bought it! Although, now I'm just wishing for some more snow so that I don't have to lament not waiting for an end of year sale to have bought it then!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Pretty good I'm in my 3rd season with this snow blower, and I have been lucky I guess because I haven't experienced any of the problems others have reported (like broken shear pins or problems with heavy snow). It always starts on the first pull (don't need the electric start). 5 minutes into the first use this season however I had the speed selector cable break, and looking at the design, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did (i.e. design is very poor and it's going to break right where the cable attaches to the bottom of the lever on the handle). I jury-rigged it with vice grips to finish the day and ordered 2 new cables because they are going to break often.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Awesome machine! This is my first snow blower. I researched the heck out of them, and I kept coming back to the cub cadet. I was originally going to buy the 2x but talked myself into the 3x. My decision for the 3x was based on the snow sliding off my metal roof. It packs pretty tight when it falls and there can be a lot of it. It chewed thru that without a problem. Our first storm was 12” and it didn’t slow this machine down one bit. The heated hand grips were an added bonus. I wasn’t going to get them on the 2x, but they came standard with the 3x. My hands get cold easily, and the were sweating by the time I was done. All-in-all, well done Cub Cadet. It’s a nice machine. I’m 100% happy with it and hope it lasts a long time.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Extremely frustrated This thing will not blow snow. Constantly clogged. I read reviews of this product that just don’t match reality.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Quick Snow Removal Ordered in early February and got delivery just in time of a big snow storm about 10 days later. Ordering and delivery was good, though would like better communication from the delivery company (YRC Freight). Assembly was easy took about 30 minutes with OK instructions. So far used it twice so this is my initial take. Very powerful, easy to use. Cleaning up the huge snow-plow pile in front of my driveway took about 1/4 the time. Even with turning levers, maneuvering requires some effort for this big heavy machine. If you have lot of obstacles to go around, this can be tiring.

Rated 5 de 5 de par A joy to own with great throwing power The snow blower was easy to put together. The electric start was fun to utilize for the fist couple of uses. After that, I used the handle pull start. The diagrams posted on the snowblower are a great assistant in becoming familiar with this machine. The machine does a great job of removing snow. The power steering assist triggers really come in handy when turning around to go back up the driveway for the next pass.

Rated 1 de 5 de par SHEAR PINS!! I replaced and old troybult 4.5HP 2 stage blower 18 years old. Go this last year... only used it once during a storm, broke a couple sheer pins. Snow was not fluffy ... maybe hit a piece of ice. This Just got the first storm of this season.. Got it all up and running.. started out... FIRST PASS 6" of snow (NOT WET , but not FLUFF) normal stuff. 70ft straight run. ONLY IN FIRST GEAR... Broke 2 Shear pins ... Replaced them... Grrr... Second Pass 2 more shear pins ... replaced them... GRRRRRR... After another couple passes I broke a couple more... Finally after 2 hours I have broken over 12 Shear pins and want to put this thing in the street for a plow to hit , so I don't have to look at it anymore. I should have bought a 2 stage... this snow Blender "Accelerator" "Shear pin eater" Is driving me nutz! is there a kit I can buy to make this a normal 2 stage blower? I'm debating on either putting straight bolts in it.. everyone says that bolts will probably break the gearbox and the accelerator won't work.. BUT> Its not really working now anyways.. I spent more time replacing the sheer pins than actually moving snow... My wife was laughing at me and was doing better with a Shovel.. I would be happy if this blower performed half as good as it as it said it could. Last season I bought a bag of 50 pins.. thinking I would be set for the life of the machine with this many..... at this rate I will need more pins before march.. and I will need a magnet on my lawnmower in the spring to pickup all the little metal brown pin parts everywhere...

Rated 5 de 5 de par Machine Works Great! Must Have! I bought this machine through Home Depot, it’s replacing a 6 year old 24” Craftsman 2 Stage Snow thrower. The old snow thrower had a 177cc engine, it would get slowed down with a snow load and didn’t move very fast. The 3 Stage Cub Cadet is awesome with performance, control and handling, engine size, etc. I am happy with the purchase, it cleared snow from a recent 10” snow storm... like a champ. Also didn’t skip a beat when it came to the plow pile at the end of the drive left behind from the road department.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Civilized Beast There is a feeling of quiet power as the Cub Cadet moves smoothly along while throwing snow 40 feet away. Not as loud as prior machines I have owned. The steering feature makes turns effortless and the chute controls are easy to use. The third stage allows you to go faster without bogging down. Overall one of the best snow throwers I have owned. I (almost) look forward now to getting out after a big snow and putting my Cub Cadet snow thrower to work.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Awesome piece of equipment! I got caught last year with the “old school” shovel, I told myself never again. I already have a Cub Cadet lawn Tractor and absolutely love it. I purchased my snow thrower before the first snowfall this season. Let me tell you it came in with a vengeance, but I was ready. This machine delivered with no problem what so ever. I cleared my driveway and all of my neighbors in no time. It was actually fun I was welcoming the snow. All I can say is make a spot in the garage for this snow thrower!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Do not stand behind warranty I purchased my snowblower March 2018 and used it 4 times. Auger got bent and belt ruined. Not one shear pin Broke & Company said the pins are an added safety measure but does not guarantee it will stop damage. And they claim it's normal wear and tear.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very powerful and easy to use I bought the Cub Cadet 3 stage blower for my 300' long 50' wide driveway and my 150' long side walk. My driveway is on a pretty steep incline and this blower tackled it with no problems. Where I usually spend about 2 hours clearing 6" of snow with shovels, I was able to move 10" of snow in only 30 minutes my first time using this blower. Although I have only had the opportunity to use it twice this season so far, I feel confident that it will suit our needs perfectly.

Rated 5 de 5 de par It is a great machine . I have used it 3 times so far and it blows the snow it don’t matter if it is heavy or light fluffy it does a great job . I run it in a 6’high fenced in yard to clear the grass off so our golden doodle can go out there and do his business it picks up the dogs do do it thru it over the fence over the ally and on top of the neighbors garage. My drive way is concrete it is 20’x 95’ long it takes about 15 minutes to do .Heated grip are great led lights are nice as well .The only thing I bought extra was a walk behind cover to be under for the cub cadet to not get any snow blowed back on me that was a waste of money it is all wrinkled up they say to take a hair blower and work it out that did not work for me .It keeps the snow off of me but you just can’t see out of it especially after dark .i would rate that as a zero.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Waste of a lot of money Purchased this 3 seasons ago. Three seasons of Western NY snow, two belt replacements, and a number of shear pins later, I’ve given up. The problems are multiple. It doesn’t work on light snow; the augur doesn’t seem to catch the snow and propel it. It clogs immediately on heavy wet snow; don’t push it either or you can say hello to a new shear pin or a new belt. It’s zenith of performance is shoving a pile of snow down to the end of the driveway. I have had a professional repair and assess this 26” 3 stage snowblower twice (not for free, either). His assessment is that three stage snowblowers are a failed concept. I tried for three seasons, with professional help, to get this to work, when Cub Cadet’s promise was superior performance.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Snow blower I bought tis last year in November. Used it five times put it away for the summer. Got it out this winter started it up. It ran for less than a minute and the engine froze up. Took to dealer they took it apart and now you guys will not warranty it. You say it's my fault. That's bull crap. It cost me $1500 and now i a worthless piece of crap. I will never buy a cudcadet again. I spent a lot of money thinking i was getting a well known brand and i got screwed. Never never again.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Unbelievable power, and so easy to use! I cant believe how easy this snow blower is to use. It started instantly (and no cord yanking thanks to the electric start) and only took about 10 minutes to get used to all the controls. Once familiar with the unit it made quick work of cleaning my long driveway, greatly aided by the user friendly power steering. I wish I would have bought this machine years ago!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Stay away Just like the other negatives I can't say a single positive thing about this piece of junk. Eats shear pins like a hungry child. I replace the auger engagement cable twice a season due to it beaking where the spring attaches. I've given up and now pay a service to do my driveway. Do not make the mistake of buying this blower.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Faster I purchased my Cadet 3X 26 snow thrower in December 2017 after the first major snow event in Northeast Ohio. After setting up the snow thrower I took it out for a trip around my lot and up and down my driveway and was immediately impressed with how fast I was able to clear my driveway and sidewalks around my property.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Blown away My 2017 3x Cub Cadet sits next to my 1985 2x Cub Cadet... both work brilliantly Needless to say, we don't get the frequency of snow in the Mid Atlantic that they get up north, but we can get pounded. My Cub Cadets stand ready, and at the first sign of impending snow, I fire them up on the hilltop, and challenge the clouds to try their best! I hope I'm around in 33 years to buy Cub Cadet number 3.

Rated 1 de 5 de par More useless than a shovel Throws fluffy snow but cant handle 2” of wet snow at bottom of driveway. Thank god for the heated grips since gloves are soaked from unclogging it every 6” Neighbors were laughing at me using this shiny beautiful useless snowblower. Wrote this review while on hold now for 33 minutes

Rated 2 de 5 de par Lower quality than expected The overall performance is good and the unit has a lot of power however the drive system seems to slip a lot when the unit is cold, it slips less after it has warmed up. The Blue Polymer Slide Shoe is horrible and poor quality, they needed to be replaced after only 8 storms…

Rated 1 de 5 de par Disappointing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thought I purchased a good quality product that would last for years and years, I was wrong. One year after purchase and the snowblower will not start. Took all the necessary steps last winter and put snowblower away with fresh gas and stabilizer in gas tank and changed the oil. First snow fall this week and snowblower wont start. One Year old and its already having issues. Called Cub Cadet today and spoke with rep in trouble shooting and expressed my concern over spending this kind of money and having to take time and more money to fix issues. Representative didn't say anything but telling me to try to run sea foam through carburetor and maybe that would help. I thought I was buying a quality product at the time what a mistake I made

Rated 1 de 5 de par Buy something else Unless you live in a magical world where you only receive 3 inches or less of light fluffy snow, this snowblower will be completely useless to you. You may have better luck wishing for a flamethrower. If it snows more than 4 inches or if it is wet snow, expect this to clear exactly none of your driveway. Bought before the Midwest winter started & wound up with an expensive piece of garbage sitting in my garage. It's been more than 30 days, so I can't return. Save your money, buy something else.

Rated 5 de 5 de par What a difference! Wow! What a difference! We’ve only had one significant snow fall since my purchase, so I’ve only used it the one time thus far, but again, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! This snow thrower cut through the snow like a hot knife through butter. It’s power is phenomenal. I was so ecstatic I did my neighbor’s driveway! I couldn’t be happier with it.
