Cub Cadet snow blower tire chains
I contacted the Cub Cadet website and spoke with a representative about getting tire chains for my snow blower. I gave him the model and serial number of my machine and asked for the matching set of tire chains for my machine. So far, I have spent over 2 hours trying to get one to fit on and for the life of me I cannot get it to fit on as it seems to be a few inches too small. Not only that, but the chains seem to want to sit inside the knobby treads on the tires which will defeat any value that they might have had. I found the instructions not very helpful and difficult to follow.
I am a disabled senior and I am very frustrated that I couldn't manage to get the supplied chains on my snow blower. Access to an "Installation" video might have helped on your website or being able to hire someone to install the chains from the store I bought it from would have been nice.

Installation of the chains onto my snow thrower.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had some problems installing the chains onto my snow thrower. They didn't quite seem large enough to easily get them on and close the link to secure them on the tire. I hope that when I actually use them that they position themselves on the tire in a way that allows me to secure them as they were intended. Currently, I have them secured with wire.

Chains
Bugger to put on, very tight. Once on all good, locking mechanism could be improved. Great traction .Other issue with blower, drive cable snapped after 3rd use. Real pain, just try to move this beast in the snow unassisted. Driveway blocked for days waiting for cable. Have extra cables and belts now. Some stuff just isn’t good quality

Great snug fit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These chains are definitely designed to fit as your tires wear down. Brand new tires and I had to add a link to laspe side only just to get a 1/4 in . Very nice fit and as my tires wear a little I will be able to get rid of the extra link. Very happy

Useless
These chains are useless if your snowblower comes with the xtrac tires. Chains fall in between the knobs. These are rebranded Arnold’s. Save your money. Expected better from Cub Cadet.

Chains were not difficult to install and appear to be good quality. As per normal I have bought something for snow removal and I have yet to get snow to try them out.

Tire chains
I was concerned about the difficulty of installing the chains from previous reviews, but I had them both on in about 10 minutes. And they got the job done!
