[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] living in upstate New York, handles up to 8' of snow so far no problem. better then expected. set of chains a must because the tractor is light. its nice not to have to get off tractor to make adjustments.. I'm handicap but with help from my wife and instructions the kit was easy to put together. a set of saw horses would help all so, like I said I'm handicap.

I read all the bad reviews and wanted to add my comments about other peoples challenges. Issues i read about
1) Didn’t send the right parts- I did receive all the correct parts, hopefully they solved their QC issues with this
2) Can’t plow much snow - I plowed 8” today. Wondering if they didnt set a 1/8” gap between the cutting edge and the ground, or tension the spring correctly on the plow. Need to set the shoes below the scraping edge. if you are scraping with the edge you will create more drag and not be able to plow much snow.
3) Cable system didnt work - I have an XT1 which is smaller than the XT2. The cables that come with this fit both models but they will be a little long on the XT1. I tried wrapping the slack around the arm. This created too much resistance for the cable to pull. Less wraps and the cables pulled the levers fine. Just adjust the cable tension with the nuts. You will need to pick up the plow a little with the handle to release the pin to set this back down when pulling the trigger to lower the plow.
4) Parts didnt fit up - Leave your bolts loose when assembling as there is a little play in the bolt holes. This will help with fit up, then tighten. Doing this i had no issues.
5) you need tiny hands for assembly - With XT1, there were 3 bolts that were tight. This is when you are putting the plow lifting lever end onto the plow assembly. I used needle nose pliers to get the nut on the bolt. You can try sliding the bolts from inside to out on the plate this fastens too before putting this plate on the assembly. Read ahead in the directions before starting as its one of the beginning pieces.
6) Directions were difficult to follow. Reading 3 pt font isn't really fun. They could make this a little easier to read. Dont open your bags of fasteners until you need to use them. There is a number on the bag that the directions reference, waiting helps keep parts organized and less confusing. They could clarify a little how the cables run, but this wasn't hard to figure out when looking at the completed picture. Other than that i thought they were straight forward, but more verbal and less pictorial.
I thought this plow performed very well. I really enjoyed the plow angle lever. Made this so much easier being able to swing this side to side from the seat. Worth it. I used chains on the tractor, no additional weight. If you are considering buying this, i would recommend it. Assembly for me took 3 hours, i took my time and did it by myself. Knowing how to do it i probably could do it in and hour or so. Best of luck.

Quality of product during assembly and installatio
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Somewhat labor intensive to assemble but not terrible. Some parts are heavy. Could be more detail on mounting of cable system, especially which handle goes where ( I may have missed something).
Quality of pieces is great. Everything fits correctly. Has not snowed yet so not sure how good it will work but coming soon....

I would love to rate this item!!! Unfortunately they allowed me to purchase it only to tell me they were out of it. Therefore, I can only rate their customer online sales department which was not very good keeping track of inventory.

Plow working great, assembly was a challenge
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The assembly did take a while and unfortunately I had to assemble it in an unheated garage at 20 deg and did it by myself and it probably would have taken 3hrs but due to issue mentioned below it took an additional hour. All the parts were there but the RH side bracket bolt holes would not line up with the fast attach bracket. I had to re-drill one of the holes which took some time.
I adjusted the trip mechanism just as the manual states and have had no issues with it tripping too easy. it has tripped when I caught a paver or the raised ground next to the drive. I have a 150' gravel drive with a little slope so I wasn't sure how well this would work.
I have used it for 2 snows so far, one was an 8" snow which I plowed a little over half way through and again after it was over, This was a light powdery snow and the blade performed better than expected and I had no issues. 2nd snow was 4" of heavier wet snow which also plowed without issues. since I'm on gravel I used a half inch thick board to set the shave plate distance from ground. This left a nice base for the vehicles to drive on. the skid feet do want to dig in to the gravel a little too much but if you have a base already they glide right over. I put tire chains on back tires and have not had the need to add any weight to the back but if I do, I have the cargo carrier on the back and I will just put some weights on that. too soon to tell how this will hold up long term but it has turned a back breaking job by hand into an easy task.

Great Snow Blade!

Pain the the behind
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is made for the smallest of people to build . What a joke to assemble this complete pain in the back side the instructions are ridiculous and not a video to flow along with. If you have the hands of a child you might be able to do this with a few less issues then I had but do yourself a favor and buy a snow thrower. The main spring is to weak to move any real snow anyway. Gonna have to poke a few new holes and add better springs.

Great Snow Plow blade for my XT1
easy to assemble and very easy to add and remove from my XT1 as needed. Design is very good for snow removal as you can easily aim the plow blade left center or right to move snow off the driveway or down it.

Great but directions are not.

Works great

Just install my plow in State sharpening which is cub cadet store.Up and Down cable is loose and to lower plow I must do by hand released safety no more adjustment

Terrible manual , terrible instructions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of my worst build experiences. I gutted through12-15 hours and when it came time to utilize the plow during a lite dusting here in Fairfield County, CT it was a disaster. Specifically- front blade did not raise or lower; left-center and right movement of blade was non existent. The promise of seat control is a load of bull . My 25yr old John Deere with rusted snow blade and no chains did a better job than this pile.
