Poor customer service
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cub Cadet should be giving these to new cub cadet zt owners. We purchase these zt mowers months ago only to find out you cant get new blades for them and especially these mulch kits. Why change the mounting hole to something that you cannot get?

Effective but doesn't fit like a glove...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fits but only with some contorting. Also after a single use the plug sometimes unseats and is always caked in grass clippings. I wish the tractor I had used the quick-connect blade style.

Not very good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried mulching my grass at 4 in the afternoon on a dry 90 degree day - a sunny front yard too - and these blades do a horrid job. I end up going over the same grass twice, slowly. The blades are virtually new, not beat up or anything, but they like to lay the grass over instead of cut. The plastic chute cover feels flimsy, I'd rather it were steel, and it doesn't fit that great. I do not use them at all anymore which is a shame because I prefer to mulch than sling grass everywhere or bag it.

Mulching Kit for ZT1 54 Cub Cadet
Ordered this mulching kit online, and it arrived in a little over a week. Fairly easy to install, but the blades are very dull right out of the box. While mowing, they left a lot of uncut grass. I basically had to mow my yard twice to make it look nice. I would recommend sharpening the blades before installing them on your mower.

Great mulching kit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed the kit on my mower with ease and have mowed my lawn three times. Everything works just as I would expect, and I expect a lot! I have owned mulching mowers from six different manufacturers and this rates right up there near the best (Toro, in my opinion). I like the fact that the plug is easy to put in and take out. I am able to switch from mulching to side discharge with ease. The cost was also very reasonable and the product arrived quickly.

Great mulching kit, fits perfect and mulches very well. Make sure your mounting pattern is an "S" shape, I accidentally purchased the "*" and had to return it. Great quality!

Good purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed easily. Used 80 ft pound torque wrench to install the blades. Good idea to place a blocking tool to keep the blades from turning. Good suggestion is to use a cheater bar on the torque wrench to make tightening the blades easier. Blades are much smaller than the factory installed blades.

Great mower
Mower itself does a great job. Very disappointed in the lack of parts availability. I placed my order over 2 months ago. Still no word. This could be an expensive yard ornament if I am unable to buy parts in the future.

Their system error cost me money

Now I'm being told that because I ordered the part, I have to pay for return shipping. I did everything right, they sent the part that doesn't fit, why should I pay to return it?

Doesn’t work as well as I thought
Blades don’t seem sharp at all. The grass clumps up so much inside the deck and gets so bad that it has stopped the blades from turning and overheated my engine. Still leaves HUGE clumps of grass all over the yard. Installed everything as it should be and still having problems. Don’t even try to cutting somewhat tall grass, your engine might explode from how much grass builds up inside the deck.

Zero turn mower muching kit
This mulching cover works but it’s not best quality and fitment you will need to have some mechanical ability. The cover does not stay on and grass will start shooting out from the mower deck and the cover hitting you in the face! Very annoying. For the cost your think cub cadet would have thought this out bit better to make a quality part.

Great for mulching as you mow
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install..works like a charm..I hate grass clippings clumping up on my yard.. this mulching set cuts it smaller and finer so that it don’t look like I need a hay bailer.. I am putting nutrients back in the ground.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Grass just piles up, right wheel gets covered in mulched grass and skids when mowing lawn. Clippings left behind due to improper mulching has to be handled so grass isn’t ruined.

ST54 gets the job done quick.
