Cover not for fabricated deck
Bought the mulch kit for my new XT2 with the fabricated deck. Waited a month for my dealer to get the one for the Fabricated Deck. Paid him to come over and install the kit. Cover does not fit the deck. Is there a real cover for the Fab deck that seals the opening correctly?

Mulching kit and plug.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blades do a great job. The issue is the plug. It doesn’t seal up completely and grass blows out. The plug should have been made out of metal with tabs that insert into the bottom of mowing deck for a tight and secure seal.

Difficult to install.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Difficult to install. Very hard plastic that is not very flexible. Doesn’t conform exactly to the opening. You have to use a lot of force to get it in place. Does not completely seal. Not a great engineering item.

mulch plug
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mulch Plug had to be cut to attach and I will need to cover the gap left accross the top to stop clipping from shooting on me. This is the second plug sent by cub cadet to me. The first had to be refabricated to fit.

Very good kit
Do a great job.
Installation of the mulch plug is not easy, but it fit perfectly at the end. Take your time. First time I had to remove the deck. Not difficult be will be more easy next time (more specifically the reassembly). I sharpened the blades for a clean cut.

wrong plug for my z2 42" fab dec
I purchased a much kit for my new z2 42 mower with a fab deck. Looks like I ordered part number 19a30046100 when I should have ordered 19a30054100. The plug will not fit correctly. Any chance I can just purchase the correct plug. The numbers are very similar.

Dont trust their site.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mulch cover does not fit correctly. I will have to modify it otherwise it shoots clippings up and all over the mower even though their site said it was the correct one for my mower. Poor design.

Good kit with bad fit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is good mulching kit for fab deck cub cadet zt1 made in 2023 model. Blades are good but there is few gaps ones you fit near hook area. It couldn’t have been designed better but it works.

Mulching Plug was difficult to install.

Mulching Kit Zero Turn
Purchased the mulcher for my new zero turn. So happy I did. Read many reviews that said it was useless. Not sure why they came to that opinion. It works great. No issues at all. If you are on the fence, don't be it's is a wise purchase.

Plug doesn't fit -- surprise!
I attempted to install the plug, fully aware from reading the reviews that it might not fit, and as expected, it did not. I did not install the blades, so I cannot comment on their performance. The entire kit was returned for a refund.

XT2 42 inch mulch kit installed at dealer - sad
I removed chute and this is what's underneath. I replaced a 20 year old 38 inch bolens which also had a mulch plug that fit much better. I expected better from cub cadet bought from an authorized service center.

Works fine. Easy to install and does what it is supposed to do. I'm guessing the negative reviews are due to people buying the wrong one or installing it wrong. No complaints here.

Blades appear to work sufficiently, however the mulch cover/plug does not fit well. Took majority of the time with assembly as I saw in other reviews. Grass come through the unit.

Sub Optimum Extreme 42" Mulch Kit
The 42" Extreme Mulch Kit did not fit my new 42" deck because of the steel rod. The quality of the mulching was disappointing. I had to re-bend the rod to make it fit,

not what i expected
does not cover the whole deck opening. i was hoping to take off the shute but i was wrong. if i have the shute off, the grass comes right out the top and all over me.
