Rated 5 de 5 de par Great performance - no gas, oil, belts required! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LT42E performs exceptionally well on our 1.5 acre lawn. It is very powerful and cuts better and faster than our gas LT42. We used it for heavy mulching this fall. It finely cut the leaves that will breakdown rapidly providing natural, free nutrients for our lawn next spring. And no gas/oil/belts required! Love it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Hit of the Neighborhood! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love my new electric Cub Cadet! I love how it was ready out of the crate! It's not loud at all. Can talk on the phone even with the blades on. The fact that I can cut both the front and back of my yard at least 4 times before needing to charge it again! I got rid of all my oil and gas products and gave them to my friends in the neighborhood. I drove my XT1 to show off to my friends and they loved it too.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Mower! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Cub Cadet XT1 electric riding mower and couldn’t be happier with it. It is easy to operate and does a great job mowing. I own an acre of meadow, a bit rough terrain, and my new mower handled it well using less than one battery charge. I mowed the grass around my house on the same charge. I would recommend this mower to anyone looking for a high quality electric riding mower.

Rated 5 de 5 de par great mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my first home, with a very challenging yard. I took a little ribbing for buying an electric mower, but I think it is great.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Works as advertised. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mower performed just as advertised. I have an acre of property that is anything but flat and has about 20 trees. By the time the mower arrived the yard had grown to 1 foot in some areas. Even with this i had 35% battery life remaining. Only trouble is the blades seemed to bend on the smallest of debris.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Who knows [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only have 1.5 hours on it. It is very hard to control a very slow speeds needed to mow around flower beds, trees, etc. It very jerky, which can't be good for the transmission. Worse there are no dealers who know anything about this mower. They tell me straight away they know nothing.

Rated 4 de 5 de par After 1 year, holds up well, but some lessons lear [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower last August (2021) for our on-a-hill 1.6 acre property. Initially I was just ejecting grass from the side (which is a bit of a mess to work with, and I don't like the "lines of grass clippings" look), then switch to mulching blades late last season. With mulching blades on, there are two major side effects: it takes a *lot* more power to run, and, unless the grass is parched and dead, the inside of the deck cakes up with grass really quickly. One additional effect that I found more recently, is that grass (which flies all over when mulching) also gets into the mechanical works of the machine, and needs to be cleaned out of places where human hands can't easily reach. More on that later. First, power. I could mow our entire property, front and back, on a single charge with the high-lift (standard) blades and side-ejecting. It was always "close", ending at 5-10% left (note that at 5% left the blades shut off so there is battery left to drive home). When I purchased the mulching kit and installed it, I was instantly only able to get through about half the yard (either the front yard or the back yard) before having to return to the shop and recharge for four hours. So now, with mulching on, I need two sunny days in the "growing season" to get through the whole lawn (I need to mow later in the day so the grass is more dried out, otherwise the next issue is exacerbated). Not a huge deal, but it would really be nice to be able to have a swap-out battery like some other manufacturers use so it could all be done without the 4-hour intermission. Second, grass accumulation is horrible. I use a high-power leaf blower to get everything off the top and deck as well as I can, but that doesn't help in the deck area at all. By the end of a single mow, the deck is completely caked with grass, about a half inch thick average. If I let this set, by the next mow the motors will overheat and give errors. Since we can't use water on the mower, much less pressurized water, to clean this out, it requires removing the deck to clean it out. This isn't a horribly difficult procedure, but it requires a lot of laying out on the shed floor to reach safety pins, fumbling with electric connections that are not well keyed to align by touch, and manipulating a heavy steel deck to get it out. Cleaning requires a nylon brush, a plastic putty knife, and a lot of elbow grease. Cleaning the grass clippings from the heat sinks under the motors is I think the most important piece, and also the hardest to do due to the design of the deck. Third, I found that grass also accumulates to the front of the deck, where the electronics and mechanics of the pedal control are located, and to a lesser extent on the rear drive motor housing + brake assembly. The front area is the most critical. A month or so back, my mower stopped driving; the deck would operate just fine, but pushing the "forward" or "reverse" levers did nothing. On occasion, the "reverse" lever would work for one herky-jerky lunge backwards. I sent it in to the shop, and by the time they took it off the transport truck there was nothing wrong. Same thing happened again yesterday. I ran into a review which mentioned the pedal area being a dust-and-mulch magnet, so went and looked. Reaching down and under to behind where the right pedal goes, I pulled out pounds of dried grass. I tried directly blowing this out, to no avail. The only way to clean it out was to reach in from the *left* side, across the mower, crook my wrist at a very uncomfortable angle, and pull the grass out. When I cleaned it all out by hand again the mower could again drive forward and reverse! I assume that riding on the back of the trailer to the shop a month ago had knocked enough of the grass clear for the actuator to start working again, but didn't actually clear it out enough. Finally, a few nits. I'm a fairly tall guy, and I find the seat doesn't go far enough back. After about half the back lawn, I need to turn it all off and hop off to stretch my legs. The lack of arm rests doesn't help with comfort either. The mulching kit's "plug" is horribly designed, not securing well enough to the deck to effectively block the grass until enough grass has caked on the inside of it to plug the large openings. The stock "turf" tires are just no good on any kind of a hill; replace those if you are going to use the snow plow attachment! The quietness of the motors leaves lots of room to hear the clacking and grinding of the rest of the machine (of course all that goes away when the mulcher blades start spinning). When things go wrong, you get "handy" error codes on the screen, but there is nothing published by Cub Cadet to decipher those codes. Sounds like a lot of gripes. But, overall, I really love this tractor. It has worked well through two mowing seasons (with only the above-mentioned issue), and one winter-plowing season. I did upgrade the back tires to improve traction on our driveway in the winter, and that helped a lot on navigating the hillside during the summer months as well. Being dead silent meant I didn't feel bad out on the plow scraping the driveway at 4am mid-winter. The battery is holding up well, with no signs of degradation over the course of the year. Definitely room for improvement, but this is a solid machine that does what it needs to do well.

Rated 5 de 5 de par So far so good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great battery life. Mowing about 1/3 of an acre of grass w/ a constant slope and driving around my property all day only takes about 30% of the charge. More quite and and much faster than my old craftsman. I can now mow while the baby sleeps.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Low Maintenance, Not clean cut! I purchased this mower 2 months ago and have mowed my lawn 5 or 6 times now, approximately 1.5 acres. I really like the mower, especially the electric part, not having to use gas, low maintenance. It seems to have a lot of power, runs fast, speed control is by using the accelerator. I have pulled my lawn sweeper without any problems, also pulled my dump cart with at least 50 pounds or more in it, no problem. What I don’t like so much is that it doesn’t cut as clean as my old gas powered mower did, therefore I have to go over many spots twice. I’m not sure why it does this, but perhaps the mower blades were not sharp enough in the first place? I have yet to take them off and sharpen them. If I had a clean cut then the battery would last to cut the entire 1.5 acres, but I usually have to charge it back up in order to finish the job. You would think that with a new mower costing $4,000 you would get a clean cut! The l haven’t had any trouble with charging the mower until the last time I plugged it in. When I went to use the mower again I found that I only had a 25% charge on the battery. I plugged it back in but the charging lights on the dash did not come on. I had to unplug and plug it back in a few times and wiggle it around then the charging lights did come on. So I’m not sure why this happened, probably just not making a good contact, and hopefully this problem does not continue, won’t know until more time passes. Make sure the charging lights on the dash come on after you plug it back in. With an electric mower you would think that it would be quiet, at least much quieter than a gas powered mower, however, it almost seems as loud as my gas power mower. Not a problem for me, but just the same. Overall I am still happy with the mower, at least thus far. I suppose there are trade offs going from gas to electric, such as not cutting as clean, but I can live with that as long as the mower lasts me for years to come. I do live in a wet weather climate, however I do keep the mower under cover, so I am also hoping that the dampness will not affect the electronics or the battery.

Rated 5 de 5 de par LOVE NOT HAVING TO GET GAS, CHANGE OIL! Have already put quite a few hours on it. Battery life is phenomenal. I was worried about mowing power since the mower moves very quick but I've experienced zero bogging or anything so far no matter the grass/weeds or terrain! Recommend to anyone and so good for the environment!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfect mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mower is amazing! So quiet, a ton of power, and I mow almost 2 acres on 1 battery life! Best looking electric mower on the market! You will not go back to gas if you purchase this mower!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty good mower, has a little trouble when terrain is really bumpy and like many riding mowers doesn’t do great on steep hills. It’s my first rider and I’m very pleased.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Awesome ICE Alternative [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this rider to alleviate some of the pains of owning a typical gasoline powered riding lawn tractor. To my surprise its even better than expected. I no longer have to deal with fluids, belts or saying a little prayer for it to start when I need to mow the lawn. The ONLY maintenance I have found I need to do so far after owning this tractor a couple months is to keep the deck and exterior clean. Every two mows I plug it in for a charge and hoist it up to clean out any grass in the deck. Some benefits I've noticed with this particular tractor is how quiet it is, especially if doing mulch, gravel or something that requires getting on off the tractor repeatedly you're not starting an engine, making a bunch of noise just to shut it off a few moments later. Even mowing is significantly quieter than a gas powered. My neighbors think its awesome.. and maybe even a little jealous. I will say that since owning this machine I use it for more tasks than I would bother to with my old lawn tractor just because its quiet, easy to maneuver and it's just fun!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Bigger deck in future, please [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish it had a bigger deck option, but it cuts my acre plus lawn on a single charge.
