Loving this mower, have actually owned one years ago as well. Great turn radius and gets the job done quickly! Left off one star, only because now Cub Cadet has decided to not include arm rest/handles anymore … for this much money, I’d like to see them included. (Very pricey to purchase and add) - otherwise, very happy :)

Was great, very short lived
Got this mower a couple of years ago. Rarely used. Put 40 hours on it and the transmission is SHOT! Unbelievable. This mower is very light duty I might add and well maintained.

good power, but poor deck cleaning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this tractor for two years. The deck will not keep unclogged. I don't mow wet grass or tall grass. I have to remove the deck every time I mow to clean it. Help. I will sell this if I can't find a solution.

Took about one hour to assemble out of the crate (steering wheel, seat and hood). A few adjustments to the deck to make it level and I was on my way to cutting.

Cub Cadet Loyalty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased an XT1 Enduro 50" Fab. It's replacing a 2005 LT1050 that I purchased ne in July 2005. 18 years and 850 hours later, it was time to get a new one. I did donate the LT1050 to a charity group at my church, for there use.
Anyway, if you can't tell, I'm sold on Cub Cadet. I have just over 2 acres, about 1.65 of which needs mowing, spraying, aerating. Etc. Speed, power and reliability are the key features I need. The new XT1 I purchased has stepped in without any let down. It cuts smoother, has more power and is more comfortable than anything in this price range. I shopped around, did research and came right back to my original replacement choice. I've mowed 3 times, hauled brush in brush buggy and sprayed once since I bought it. No regrets, looking forward to 18 years and 850 hours on this one!

Good mower...but
This mower is about a month old. So far so good for my first Cub Cadet. The cruise control does not seem to work correctly. When engaged at mowing speed, it defaults to a crawl. Not what I would consider a real function.

Great tractor odd transmission
Overall solid tractor. Bagger was easy to install and works great. One odd thing is the transmission. When you take your foot of the "gas" most tractors stop immediately. I think its a safety feature. The Cadet will continue to roll. Going down a steep hill you have to use the break which is awkward.

Poor company decisions
Purchased the lawn mower and no hour meter. How do you keep track of maintenance without an hour meter. Tried to purchase one from Cub Cadet and non in stock. All it is, is a bean counter in the company trying to save money not installing one in the first place. Almost sliced my finger trying to put a 3rd party hour meter in. Every other manufacturer provides them but not this company. Think I made the wrong decision as makes you wonder what else they cheeped out on.

Cub Cadet, the only mower worth the money !!

Parts supply stinks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the XT1 50 and had it approximately 2 months and battery died. Cub dealer mechanic said he ordered a new battery. Been waiting almost 5 weeks and counting for a new battery. Glad I kept my 26 year old Craftsman to mow 2.5 acres. Seat switch is a touchy. Haven’t had it running long enough to see if it is a good product or not.
