Love it so far! Great mower.

My only nitpick is that I wish it had a factory installed hour meter and front bumper, but I've got the hour meter coming in the mail for self installation.

Pure garbage
Got it for 30 hrs and sold it. Struggles in tall grass, got to pass 2 or three times on the same spot because it leaves uneven spots. Got a rough terrain ? You are going to spin and get stuck everywhere. Avoid at all cost !!

Disappointed After Doing My Homework – Hoping for
After doing extensive research, I recommended the Cub Cadet LT50 to my 82-year-old father-in-law over another John Deere, primarily due to the Kohler engine, the solid 11-gauge deck, and what seemed to be strong overall value. I was confident enough to convince him to switch brands after years of loyalty to John Deere.
We purchased the mower at Canadian Tire in Ontario, but unfortunately, our experience has been far from ideal. On the very first day, the mower was running extremely hot at 9000 RPM and burned through a full tank of gas in about 20 minutes. Canadian Tire refused to exchange the unit and instead sent it for repairs.
The authorized repair dealer claimed that a mouse had built a nest in the engine, which caused the issue. The machine is now back, running a bit better, but it's still burning an excessive amount of fuel and the RPM still feels high. To track and prove the usage, I even purchased an hour meter ($70 out of pocket) to monitor fuel consumption and engine performance.
To make matters worse, the seat is misaligned due to springs not lining up correctly. The dealer told us it was “fine,” but you can clearly feel you're sitting at an angle—this is not fine, especially for an elderly user.
At this point, the mower has only about 4 hours of use, is sitting idle in the garage, and my father-in-law has gone back to using his 15-year-old John Deere, which still runs great.
Needless to say, I feel terrible for recommending this switch. We had high hopes for Cub Cadet, but the lack of support, refusal to take accountability, and unresolved issues have left us frustrated. Hopefully, this review helps others make an informed decision—and maybe even prompts Canadian Tire or Cub Cadet to step up and do right by their customers.
