Good mower but one big flaw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this mower for several years now and am generally happy with it. I would say it's not the best for hilly yards though. I'm on the third drive belt and can already feel this one going. Replacing the belt is a real chore too. I'm 200lb so it should be able to stand the weight. Just a diabolical design for replacing that belt. Also had the clutch replaced.

Not a bad lawnmower, but not great either
I bought this unit this spring to replace a 10-year old Cub Cadet. While this machine was advertised as a better model, it doesn’t cut quite as cleanly (level) as the previous unit (although still acceptable). And the traction is noticeably poorer than the old tractor. I’m frequently having to get off, put it in neutral, and push because one of the rear wheels is spinning. I’m also having an issue with one of the front tires — it’s soft every time I go to mow the lawn, and I have to drag the compressor up to the garage and inflate it.

Nice Ride!

Absolute Trash
BUYER BEWARE I've had mine less than four years and I'm ready to push it off a cliff. Started stalling earlier this year. Turns out this is a very common problem with no clear solution. Replaced the fuel filter, fuel lines, fuel pump, spark plugs, air filter, and carburetor. Won't stay running. I will never buy another Cub Cadet product and will tell everyone I know to stay away from Cub Cadet.

Lots of power, mows like crap
I am puzzled as to why Cub Cadet would build a nice, strong, fabricated mower deck and use cheap, flimsy blades and spindles. Less than 7 hours on the mower and the blades are destroyed! What's the sense in that?

I bought this mower in October and today makes the 3rd time I have used it. Bad spindle already and belt broke. To sum it up, buy a troy bilt for half the price, you know you are going to have to work on it, but you now what you got and saved some money
