Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great performance at a cost I am on my second winter with this snow blower and overall I am happy I went with this model. The motor starts first pull every time and has lots of power. It also handles 12'' to 15" of wet snow as advertised. There are three things that I feel has let me down with this snow blower and I'd love to see Cub Cadet address these issues. First my headlight bulb would only last a few times before blowing. When I asked the dealer they said the vibrations destroy the bulbs. In the age of led everything, why would cub cadet put that bulb in their top of the line snow thrower? I've since replaced that bulb with a led replacement and a led light bar on the front like the tracked version has and it's great. Second is that there are no instructions on how to address the chute deflector being to loose and the snow will just keep pushing it up. This is annoying and why there is not a simple adjustment or instructions is confusing to me. Last is the most frustrating flaw. The back (inside) third stage auger is under a housing and when the shear pin breaks it can be incredibly difficult to get the damaged pin knocked out. I have spent over 30 minutes trying to change that pin and it really ticks me off. I'd love to see these three things addressed because it's a great machine in most other respects.
