Extremely POOR Quality Plastic (looks only item).
Within one and a half hours after installing the "Brush Guard" I was going around a pine tree in my yard and a branch being pushed out of the way completely snapped off the left end bracket of the "Brush Guard", and before I realized what had happened I drove over it shattering it into dozens of pieces. Very disappointed that a so called brush guard is made to be decorative only and cannot do the job it was built to do, even once. Why would you build a "TOOL" out of plastic that can't do the job it's title infers it to be used for, and charge the price for a quality built product? Extremely disappointed. Useless "Brush Guard" at a Premium price.

Brush Guard not durable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a new machine (XT1 46") this season. Around April 2022. Added the bagger and the brush guard with the machine. Am very disappointed in both accessories. The bagger constantly clogs and spits dirt and grass everywhere and is very hard to open the lid. The brush guard is my biggest complaint. Cheap plastic. My small child lightly hit it with his bike and broke the plastic in multiple places. This is extremely disappointing as it was not cheap to buy and is supposed to be sturdy to protect the tractor. Would like a replacement.

Fast Attach brush guard
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fits up in under 15 seconds if you already have the Fast Attach brackets on your rig. Looks great, it’s actually functional, and doesn’t stick out too far in front or to the sides so it won’t catch on things when turning or backing up. I just wish Cub Cadet would include features like this on the cheap $2500 junk like my XT2 instead of having to pony up another $1200 or more to get a nicer stock bumper, bigger set of wheels/tires, plastic fender covers and a fancy two-colored seat on the GT series. At least my fuel injected XT2 runs like crap and has never run right since the day I bought it. Thank God for Cub Cadet.

easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely easy to install. Literally four bolts and it was done. Looks good and protects the front end so the kids can mow without me worrying they will hit something and damage the mower.

Brush Guard Alternative Solution
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To those who have had an issue with the brush guards plastic ends breaking off: A good working alternate is to fashion two wood 2x2's to fit the mounting holes on the fast attach, one for upper and one for lower. Round the ends off. Even add two 3/8" eye bolts for light load reverse dragging.

ineffective materials
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right side plastic part of the Brush guard broke off when I bumped into a Sumac Tree. Was annoyed by this, but thought maybe it was my fault, so I ordered a replacement part and was back up and running. Later I was mowing along a bush and one of the branches about the diameter of my small finger was enough to break off the left side of the guard. This is cheap plastic that does not hold up at all. The product is called a brush guard, but when a bush is strong enough to break it then it clearly does not do what it is supposed to do.
Also, the exhaust dumps out on the left side mounting bracket and melts the plastic Brush guard.
