Works As Expected
I haven't had any issues with lid not closing or bags not filling either. I will say IF the grass is wet the chute will clog if you take a FULL PASS at FULL SPEED!! Slow down, cut 2/3 width OR wait til grass dries out and do NOT try to drop deck all the way down with 8" of grass and expect a homeowner type bagger to work a miracle. My only gripe is the chute attachment is a B-E-A-R to get attached the first several times, after it's been on and off a few times it didn't cause me any problems. The engineers could've made the trailer hitch usable with the bagger attached. I just use the old mower for the trailer (Boooooo) instead of uninstalling the bagger each time.

Bagger works well for me
I have the triple bagger installed on an XT1 with a 54 inch deck. IT works very well. The area mowed or leaf pickup is clean of grass and debris. I have not had a problem with the lid staying closed when the tube is aligned properly. I have not had any issues with the three bags filling with grass or leaves. They fill right up to the top of the housing (overfilled). I have a 2 acre lawn and the bags do fill up quickly. They are really easy to empty and get back to work. I would like to see the bags made bigger. I believe they could easily be doubled in capacity without much trouble at all. Overall, I would buy this again and would recommend it to others.

Does what it needs with some flaws
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setup was a breeze, works well. However, the supplied wing nuts are weak and the plastic wings broke right off from the inner nut. Also, the upper tube that connects from the side discharge tube and the bagger cover has a foam strip you put on; it's worthless as the tube doesn't sit flush and the corner tears right into it.

Winner Winner!!
Not a single issue with this bagger. Assembly was easy and installation a breeze. Not sure why the other reviewer had issues with the lid locking because mine locks solid. All in all it's a great item!

Not Cub Cadet Quality
Love my XT2 54" mower. Hate this bagger. Typically only 1 or 2 bags fill up. The other is nearly empty every time I mow. This causes an imbalance in the attachment causing the chute to disconnect. Chute is garbage--does not flex at all, so any bump is likely to make it come apart, which is exceedingly frustrating. Would like to see a flexible duct instead.
Cant use the hitch with the bagger installed, so like another reviewer I ended up keeping my old unit just for hauling.
At least I dont have any issues with the locking mechanism, but overall I do not recommend this bagger.

Terrible design!
I bought the cub cadet with the 54” fab deck, I am very satisfied with that purchase. However then I purchased the 3 bag bagger. This turned out to be $600.00 dollars worth of frustration. I followed all the instructions that came with the installation kit but came to realize the attachment of the boot to the deck is a large joke. I have tried several things to keep it attached but nothing has helped. Also, if your lawn is bone dry and doesn’t really need to be cut it might not clog the shoot but why would you mow your lawn if it doesn’t need it. I have tried everything, slow travel speed, raising the deck height and only cutting half the width of the deck and it still clogs terribly. Before I bought this bagger I read all the reviews and thought that since this was a cub cadet it wouldn’t be that bad, I was wrong! $600 dollars worth. Now I’m stuck with a poorly designed piece of equipment that will sit in my barn until I throw it out. I have several pieces of cub cadet equipment and I really expected to receive a quality piece of equipment. Love the tractor…hate the bagger. Would not ever recommend this to anyone. As a senior citizen my money is limited, this was such a mistake. Shame on you for making such a bad design. Not up to what I thought was cub cadet standards. Larry Rogers

Easy to use
We bought the mower and bagger in March. Have had great success with the bagger and mower. The bagger is super easy to use. Opens and closes very well. Mower can easily loft the clippings and leaves into the bagger. I have nothing but trees surrounding my home. In the fall its a joy to collect all the leaves in 1 pass. The bagger holds 10 bushels and I dumped it 13x. Dont listen to all the noise and ground clutter from those folks who want to complain about everything. This mower and bagger are the best!! I can mow and collect leaves in the fall even when wet!!!

Doesn't last long....
I have an XT3 tractor with a 54" deck. I am on my second bagger as the design is awful. The boot that attaches to the deck over time bends which blocks the flow of the grass which then subsequently clogs.
Wouldn't recommend until re-designed.
