Good blower with lots of opportunity to improve.
This unit does a great job of moving snow a long way away from the driveway, reducing the likelihood of future deep drifts. However, there are a number of things which could be improved: The chute rotation control crank should be several inches higher. The chute angle diverter control moves way too hard and the angle of the handle exacerbates this issue. The top of panel speed and diverter controls sit nearly horizontal and in a recess which allows snow to build up so that you can't see the notches. The traction hand lever requires too much force to hold down. The oil drain pipe should be at least an inch longer. I don't need headlights, couldn't they be optional? The height guides don't adjust easily, especially in the back when pushed all the way down due to the way in which the blower housing pieces lap.
I do like the steering assist, but wonder how much maintenance they will require down the road.
Lastly, I was very disappointed in the cost of the extended warranty and maintenance program recommended by the dealer. Over the seven year recommended life of the program I could do the maintenance myself at a greatly reduced price and have saved nearly enough to buy a new blower.

Super easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my 2x Intelipower 26 inch Cub Cadet snowblower in 2023. This is very easy to use. I love how it has levers on each handle that when pushed you can turn right or left. I makes it very easy to steer.
It's very easy to use and eats through all types of snow be it heavy or light. I live on the corner of a main highway and when the plows push the snow banks back they leave about 3 feet of snow at the end of my driveway. My Cub Cadet goes right through it. You have to let the snowblower take its time through the end of the driveway snow and it beats having to shovel.
I highly recommend this snowblower to anyone who lives where you receive lake effect snow or alot of snow through the winter.
I'm 64 years old and I love using this snowblower as it's easy to start and use.

Never had a problem with it since I bought , starts easily, with either pull start or electric, clears well and easy to maintain, only thing extra is I wax box before use every winter GREAT MACHINE

Very disappointed
Went to use it for just the third time since I bought it last Nov. As instructed, I drained the gas last year while running marine stabilizer in it. Filled it up this morning to use, and tried everything and it will not start. Wasted my money - should not need repair after only three uses. Extremely disappointed.

POOR ALL ROUND PURCHASE
Purchased the 2X Intelli Cub Cadet blower yesterday. Tried to use it this morning - it didnt do a great job by any means AND I was very surprised to find wiring unprotected - see picture. So so disappointed - anticipated a decent machine for over 2K. Machine was built by supplier for me

NOTES ON ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION
Parts seem to be very high quality. Putting this thing together required me to ignore the instructions and just figure it out. The instructions, to save the company money, are written in tiny print and combine many snow blower models into one, and then you have to figure out which model you have with pictures and no other identifier. For my 70 year old eyes, that wasn't easy. Again, just looked for bolts and holes and figured it out. In my opinion, and I am mechanically inclined, the instructions are all but useless. I did download the two relevant manuals and printed them larger for diagrams. There are far better ways to identify models other than just pictures. As for snow, we haven't used it yet, but I have total confidence that it will do a great job IF the "steering controls" don't break down. If they do break down, and the blower can still be operated, then fine. But if they break and that stops the show altogether that isn't good, obviously. As for recommending it, they need to have a third choice: "Maybe" Now the choices below such as "high performance" etc., are we still talking about me or have we shifted back to the snow blower?

A good purchase over all.
I bought this not quite a year ago. The reason I bought a Cub Cadet is because I thought I would have a service and parts store close by. Turns out a month after I bought this the place closed up their service shop and then stopped stocking parts. Sort of a bummer but, we can work around that. The first thing I ran into was the auger would not shut off. After doing some investigating I found the auger pulley was severely bent and wobbling. (So I thought) The fortunate thing about the timing on this discovery is it pretty much was the last snow of the season. I loaded it up and took it to the service center nearest me which is 18 miles away. It turns out the gear box shaft was bent. Not sure how that could happen but, it was bent. I mention the service shop because they did a great job. Had machine back in a couple of weeks. Broke it out this year and off to the races we go. I wish I could make my rating between 3 and 4. 3 is not quite fair. It does a pretty good job. In wet snow the best it is going to through it is about 15 feet. Dryer snow it will through into the next county. From a performance stand point and price point we can say it is decent. I agree with some of the comments on location of the controls but, I knew what I was buying so I can't complain about that. One feature that I like very well is this thing has a 3 position throttle. When you start it you can actually knock it down to idle and let the engine warm up. I mention this because I believe I pooched the engine on the last blower I had because I did not give it more time to warm up. The build quality on this pretty good (with the exception of the bent auger shaft) and the fact you can turn this is very helpful for me. I have bad elbows so being able to control turns is big. As I said for the price point this is a good (wish I could say great) buy. Word of encouragement here. With a little more attention to detail you folks at Cub Cadet could have a game changer here.
