It's very easy to turn around and I really like the transmission, the way it feels, the ability to easily slow down without using the brake, and the option of applying cruise control. It runs well, doesn't use too much gas, feels good, starts easy. Also, my local dealer delivered it the same day for free! There were no DOC fees or anything. It was an easy process and I really like the mower. My old mower had a Kohler engine and it lasted 7 years and is still going so I wanted to get another Kohler. This one's a tad more powerful and has a much nicer overall feel.

I got the Cub Cadet. after doing much reading and on-site comparison, the final decision was between a John Deer and Cub Cadet. They're both very competitive, but the John Deer dealer (large dealer in the area) show no interest in selling me the tractor or ever got back to me, on the other hand the Cub Cadet dealer was very helpful. Now, technically speaking, Cub has a better engine, lower price, good reputation, and if you check the deck on the John Deer, its sheet metal is weak, flimsy, flexes as you step on it, the cub is solid as a sheet of steel... so I got the Cub! I'll write again after putting few hours on it.

Great mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mower, loving it so far. I have a little over an acre to mow right now and after some land clearing I'll have a bit more, and I am really enjoying the mower. The construction seems great and sturdy and it runs smoothly. The 46" size seems good because it's a decent size but also not too big so I can easily maneuver around various things in my yard. I have a couple sloped areas in my yard but as long as I approach from the right angle it has no problem with it. I wish I had an hour tracker on my model to help me make a maintenance schedule, but I also plan to keep this thing around forever so it's not a huge problem.

Great Machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my very first lawn tractor and I'm very happy with it. Starts easily and has plenty of power. I also bought the matching hauler and it works great. I have a wooded lot and cut lots of firewood, this combination can handle big full loads of cut logs with no problems.

Great mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned mine for years and it has been a great, reliable lawn tractor. I have an acre and about 3/4 of it is weeds with lots of gophers so it's pretty bumpy. I mow the weeds once every two weeks or so in the Spring and the tractor handles it well. Changing blades is a pain but that's true of any lawn tractor. The Kohler engine is a beast, love that it has a spin-on oil filter. Do not settle for any tractor that doesn't have a Kohler engine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought mine last year first cut of the season. XT1 LT46 I Traded my 84 Simplicity for my first new rider. I After doing what I thought was good homework.Wrong. This s a nice unit. Same a the Craftsmen 46" If you price shopping. One thing I overlooked was the deck. My old 44"had 3 blades and this 46" only has 2 blades. Believe me t makes a difference. Also My old 16 hp was easier on gas over than this 22hp. It Drinks a whole tank VS the 16 I could get 2 to 3 cuts with.

Disappointed
2 mows and 4.5 hours in during dry conditions and very underwhelmed by performance. It is a very bouncy ride, which caused the mower deck to drop out of position multiple times. Traction on inclines is not good leaving only one wheel spinning. Motor shut off unexpectedly several times. Getting stuck on hills and unexpected loss of power doesn't make the operating experience feel very safe or in control. Seat is comfortable, but not enough to overcome the bounce. Ejection of cut grass is messy, more of a radial spray than directional discharge.
