Great replacement for craftsman v60
This battery is exact bill as a craftsman V6, but there are two things you need to change. First never alter the battery. The safety tab that is on the craftsman is on the opposite side of the cub cadet battery so all you have to do is make a notch in your charger and mower that is already out of warranty. Do not listen to anyone that tells you to take the battery safety tab down because you have no warranty on your battery. You’re altering the factory spec but since the lawnmower is already out of warranty, make it two notches in plastic there that’s just a friendly suggestion and yes, it works great

Craftsman 60 volt?

Used to replace Craftsman V60 battery
All of my Craftsman v60 batteries have failed and they are no longer available for purchase. But it's clear that the Craftsman is a rebranded Cub Cadet battery as they are identical in every way except for placement of a long tab on the top near the terminals. This is an absolutely maddening feature, because this tab serves no purpose other than prevent using the batteries in the other brand's tools - it's just customer hostility! There are two solutions to this: 1) you could grind off the tab with a rotary tool, file, or something like that. Or 2) Since I had an otherwise identical but dead Craftsman battery, I just swapped the plastic battery top (tamper resistant Torx screws, so you need a special driver set).
So far, after using it a few weeks, the battery has performed fine and identically to the original Craftsman battery - same charger, same tools, runtime seems the same. I just hope that's where the similarity ends and this doesn't fail prematurely like the Craftsman, which if you look online has happened to nearly everyone and is likely why Craftsman discontinued the line. Hopefully, since Cub Cadet is still selling these tools, they have solved whatever manufacturing defect (my guess is they got a batch of bad Lithium Ion cells and didn't perform adequate quality testing before using them) in the 4 years since I bought the Craftsman tools. Finger crossed!

Battery lasted just one season
I received the battery with my push mower, lasted just one season. I have .33 acres and the first year it mowed it on just one charge. My lawn has grown in thicker this year and now it takes at least one if not two charges to finish the lawn. I called for warranty help but was unable to get anywhere after being on hold for 40 minutes.

Powerful battery

I love this battery so far. It lasts a long time.

Craftsman
Arrived quickly and in good condition. Used to replace Craftsman battery, had to replace the top of the battery with the one off of the old Craftsman and it worked perfectly.
