Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better Used this for a total of 4 mows now. I have 2 major complaints. Complaint number 1: The discharge flap is thin rubber and going over bumpy ground can deflect the rubber flap into the blades. My rubber flap is getting quickly chewed up on the bottom as a result. It should have had a metal or plastic stiffening plate to keep it from deflecting that much. Complaint #2, there is a 90 degree turn in the linkage to open the door on the right rear side of the deck. It sticks out in a very vulnerable position and I have almost nailed it several times cutting around trees and fence posts. Summary: It works ok, but I was really dissapointed given the high price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design I mow cosmetically and purchase this for my Cub Cadet 960 S. The mechanisms that raise and lower the flap is poorly designed it’s extremely hard to open and close because of the nature of the bends in the cable and I’ve had to replace numerous parts on it because getting too close to submit bending the Shaft, breaking a shaft and different things have occurred. I know that’s not a reflection of the product but it does show that the product has lots of vulnerabilities. Lastly I had another cable break and my dealerships they cannot get the cable no more calls cub does not make the product no more. For $420 I expected something a whole lot better than what I received and I do not recommend this product to anyone that is using it for commercial use .
