Product should have been included to begin with
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I order this on 06/07/2021 and was told it was currently out of stock and they would have more by the end of the month. I messaged at the end of the month and was told that they got some in, but my order was not fulfilled due to other orders being filled first. Not including this part on a $4000 mower when the warranty is directly tied to adherence to a maintenance schedule based on hours used is an obvious ploy to avoid having to honor the warranty. Had I known cub cadet would be involved in this type of shady business, I would not have purchased a mower from them to begin with.

Kit is great, Cub Cadet idea not so much
The kit itself is great, but I think that it should've been included with an expensive zero turn (zt1 54P). Cub Cadet's customer service response was that the mower comes with a 3 year unlimited hour warranty so it did not need an hour meter. Well, the instruction manual also states to check/change components for regular maintenance at 5 hours, 10 hours, 25 hours, 50 hours, and 100 hours...how are we to know when to do these maintenance task with no way to accurately gauge the amount of hours on said mower? Did I mention that the wiring harness and everything is there, just need the meter and a new sticker?

Perfect fit...
The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating is that, it should have been included with the purchase of the mower... Why Cub Cadet suddenly stopped with the 2021 year model but still will sell you the meter at extra cost seems a bit trivial to me as a business decision.

Why?
Cub Cadet ZT1 42. Opened the panel and the wiring / connector is there - connected to... nothing. Why? So Cub Cadet can get an additional $52 for a $7 meter that should have already been there from the factory and the end user must install himself. I've had Cub Cadet products in the past but will never ever give my money to them again. No a good business decision on Cub Cadet's part - I reckon they've been bought out by China as well.

This should be on the mower from the factory.
The kit is great. My issue is I just can't understand why the mower didn't come with an hour meter to begin with.

Hourmeter Installation
It was a clean and easy install. The components fit perfectly, THE WAY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN STRAIGHT OUT OF THE FACTORY, but it wasn’t.

Went blank after 5-6 hours of run time
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my Cub Cadet ZTS1-50" (best mower on earth, BTW), and right after first use, got this meter for it. Installation was pretty easy, and it worked right away. Well, fast forward a few weeks and another 5 or 6 hours of running time, and I noticed it was acting a bit flakey, showing "low batt", with varying voltage readings. Less than an hour into the cut, it went blank completely. I opened up the panel and everything was still connected just fine, but nothing I could do could bring the meter back to life. I'm hoping I can return this to the store I bought it from, but my hopes aren't high.

$$$$ mower doesn’t have an hour meter!!!!
I can’t believe there is no hour meter on the zts-1. I didn’t even look for one when I bought it because I just assumed that a machine at this price would have it. Unbelievable!
