It’s heavy enough that it has the traction in needs to get through harder snow and not lacking power to blow. Might be higher priced than some but I would definitely recommend this one to anyone on the fence about spending more, it’s worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing machine!! Excellent machine for doing my 6 car driveway, and cutting a racetrack in the back yard for my hyper Chihuahua. The municipality here go out of their way to really pile up the snow at the end of your driveway, but my 2X 30 HD devours even their iciest attempts to shut us in. Very handy having the extra shear pins in their own holders, though in over a year of owning it, I haven't needed to replace a pin yet. I haven't needed to undo the zap strap holding the clearing tool either as the 2X 30 HD feasts on anything in it's path. The LED headlights, and hand warmers are ideal for those early morning clearing jobs. Was thinking of getting chains, but so far the supplied tires have had amazing traction, so holding off on that for now. I truly love the steering mechanisms, it makes it so easy to maneuver through tighter areas. The crank control for the chute is a great touch, less cables to freeze up is greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone with a medium to large driveway, or overzealous plow operators, and definitely to do racetracks in the backyard for hyper dogs, they truly do love it.
