Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power, Power, Power! I just bought the 3X 30" HD a couple months ago. I actually pre-ordered it last spring. We recently had a 9" heavy, dense snowfall. The 3X 30" HD performed like nothing else. It started right up on a cold start of 10 degrees F. The frozen, crusty pile of snow left by the snow plow was no match. It powered right through. My biggest concern prior to purchasing was the shear pin issues posted by others. There were no shear pin issues despite the heavy load. I would expect you would want the shear pin to shear if you hit something solid. This wasn't the case and no worry under normal, heavy operation. I even geared up for a short bit to test and no problem. It just effortlessly did its job. I waited 20 years too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power house! Just bought it today after a 6-8 inch fairly heavy snow. The more you feed it, the further it throws! Just a real brute! I think i became the envy of the neighborhood! I thought the speeds were good but I can't figure out why they bother with reverse...too slow to use (so was the last brand for what its worth). I did manage to feed too much to fast and plug the drive. Just had to clear it good and all was well...no pins sheared. The one handed operation didn't seem to stick at first use but came back after i got off work and it ends up being fine. Can only lift the auger hand...I would of liked to be able to lift the drive hand a few times. Very happy with my purchase :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful snow thrower Purchased this as a replacement (20 yr. old Troy-Bilt) just in time for our third Nor' Easter this month. Powered through 6" of heavy wet snow without hesitating. I also purchased the optional cab enclosure as most of our storms are accompanied with a strong North wind. The controls are straight forward and the cab enclosure provides excellent visibility. I especially like the side reflective strips on the enclosure for night time snow removal. The three LED headlights also provide excellent visibility. Maybe my kids will do all the snow blowing for me!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet Snowblower Had this machine for approx.3 winters, not best of designs, too hard to put in reverse( I added a spring to assist going into reverse) my 30 inch machine plugs up the augers when snow is a little wet,( augers are too close together) last winter I put on 2 belts and it still would bog down in the chute. Does not compare to the White Commercial Grade machine I replaced with this lesser grade machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Has Power But This snowblower has plenty of power but. I purchased this snowblower in 2018. I have used it 5 times and every time the shear pins on the front yellow wheel and the main auger where the snow exits the chute the shear pins break. I have used it today after a dry 5" snow fall and same issue the pins keep breaking in the same spots.I'm tempted to put a bolt in these spots. I would not recommend this snowblower for the money and inconvenience after fairly light snowfalls.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from i think this product could have a minor improvemen this is a good product, but from the different reviews on different sites about plugging up with snow in the chute and poor snow capacity out the chute that Cub Cadet should modify the plastic base(Cub Cadet 731-07525 Chute Adapter) that the Cub Cadet 684-05062-4021 chute sits on. If the the plastic on the side facing the drum and auger would extend to the edge of the plastic outward versus inward and this way the outer edge of the impellor fins would have a clear line to throw the snow into the chute.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! The shear pin on the rear impeller breaks every time I use the machine. The shear pin gets stuck on the shaft making it necessary to take to the Cub Cadet dealer service dept. to remove it. Very disappointed!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very good but not outstanding I got this snowblower in November and have used it in different snow conditions. Delivery and set-up was easy. It does blow snow good distances, although in the wettest, heaviest snow I have seen in Minnesota in many years, it kept clogging as most other snowblowers did. I agree with other reviews I have read that the slowest speed is way too fast. With ice under the snow, the wheels would spin. In those conditions, chains would probably help but I don't see them offered as options. My biggest complaint is that it leaves snow windrows that are much worse than my old 2 stage blower. I don't know if it is caused by the speed or the fact that it is a three stage. It is still a good product, but it's highest rating by Consumer Reports must be due to the quality of the competition. From my standpoint, the jury is still out as to three stage vs 2 stage.
