A bit skeptical at first…
I have a fairly large lot and have for decades mowed it by hand because it is on a 10-15º slant. I was going to buy a zero turn thinking it would be better on slopes. I quickly found that was not true. Then I found a review that said the CC 30 handled his yard fine. I have to admit I was a little hesitant the first couple times out, but once I got a decent pattern established all is well. This thing handles it like a champ. There are a few spot I still wouldn't want to try, but I now mow 90% of my lawn with it and the lawn looks better than ever. Very glad I made the purchase, can't wait to mow again!

Needs Improvement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my Cub Cadet CC30E in early March. Charges quickly. Even though its an electric mower, the spinning blade makes so much noise I still have to wear hearing protection. Mows ok but needs anti-scalping wheels on deck. Steering is extremely tight. Hard to turn the steering wheel so its tiring to use this mower. While seat is technically adjustable, it's intended to set and leave alone. My wife and I both mow so we had to set it too far back for her and too far forward for me, an unhappy medium. I do like that it mows in reverse. Being a rear engine, forward visibility is excellent.

In general a nice mower
A nice mower whose main advantage is that it will go through a 3 foot gate & is suited for small yards. Does not have a lot of transmission power & can struggle in reverse when backing up a slight incline. Turning radius is always important but when making very sharp turns the steering/tires can bind. Gas tank could be larger. Frame seems to flex quite a bit when going over rough ground. One main improvement over Cub Cadet mowers of the past is that mulch plug & deck chute install with wing knobs(wing nuts) which is a big improvement over the rubber elastic strap of previous mowers. Seat is comfortable. You can find a less expensive 30" mower but they usually don't have hydrostatic transmission is a big advantage.

All around great mower !
We can’t be happier with our purchase of this Cub Cadet. We added on the grass catcher (perfect) and a trailer too. Our Cub not only gives us a great cut on our lawn but also doubles as a all around work horse for our greenhouse build, gardens and cleanup on our 1.2 acre property, and it’s fun as well. We researched all mowers in this class before purchasing our Cub, overall best mower we found, in addition; we have hills on our property and this Cub was the only one in it’s class that was actually rated for hills, amazing ease of use and comfortable to use. Thanks Cub Cadet

Engine threw rod after three mowings.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took delivery of my new mower and loved it. I mowed my lawn three times so I had approximately 3-4 hours of use on the mower. I was almost done with the lawn the third time and I heard an awful noise and the mower quit running. Upon further investigation, I found a large hole in the side of the engine block. My dealer immediately came out and took it back to the shop and found it had thrown a rod. It is a Briggs and Stratton engine and according to my dealer a new one is on the way. Hopefully I will get it back soon and it will run as expected. We are currently in prime mowing season and I would really like to have it back. It did a great job the three times I used it.

Great Small Mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mower last summer after looking at many others. My dealer in Kalamazoo set it up with a bagger which I used last fall. This mower cuts and bags well. This rider is smaller in size but I find comfortable. (I am 6ft and a bit heavy). It does not take up too much room in my garage. I like that it has a cup holder. The turning radius is good and the design allows me to cut tightly against a fence line and other obstacles. This is a nice mower.

Great mower for small or bumpy lawns.
I like the exercise I get from using a push mower. However, there are times I just want to get the lawn mowed, and as quickly as possible. Also, my lawn has some uneven spots that resulted in ripped up grass and dirt when I used a 42" tractor that someone loaned me last year. The CC 30 H Rider is great for both issues. It cuts over an hour off my normal mowing time, and the cut is narrow enough that it's not affected by the uneven areas in my yard. The mower is easy to start, easy to switch to mowing in reverse, and the safety features make it impossible to step off the mower while the blade is engaged (the mower shuts off). I wish I had purchased this mower last year when I was mowing every three days.

Overall a good product
With the exception of one engineering failure I have been very pleased with this mowers performance. The issue is changing the oil. Cadet should offer an extension drain hose or install an extension pipe to drain plug. Unit did come with a plastic drain tray but is worthless. I have been changing oil in my mowers for 45 years and this is the absolute worst. Oil ends up all over frame of mower. If Cadet could fix this issue they would have a 100% great mower. Hoping they read this and fix it.
