Great machine!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my XT2 GX54 D today to replace a 9 year old XT1 L46. Absolutely great machine. Lots of power. 54” 3 blade deck covers a lot of grade quickly and cuts really nice. The turning radius has improved since the older model. Reverse seems quicker and more responsive. The blade engagement is quick and easy with the button vs the old lever. Improved seats, armrests and larger tires improve the ride and comfort. I am very happy with this machine and my lawn looks great. A+ Cub Cadet. Great machine!

Well worth it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased the xt2 gx54d just like this new at the dealer near me I love it so far used it once and it cut great and did great on a hill but i am curious why it says its a 26 hp but mine says 25hp on top ?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I think the machine is nice for the price. Steering radius is great. Plenty of power to get up hills and in heavier grass. Cuts nicely and evenly. Easy to get on and off. Added mulching cover and it pulverizes grass clippings.
I don’t believe starter sounds like it will last. PTO engagement is very abrupt and probably hard on all drive components. Deck is noisy like belt noise or spindle noise.
Like I said, I’m pleased for the price of this machine.

My Dream Lawn Tractor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new Cub Cadet XT2 GX54 D is a dream. My terrain is a little rough and hilly. The ride is VERY smooth and comfortable with plenty of power to handle the grades. The locking differential provides plenty of traction when I am on some of the steeper parts of my yard. I upgraded from a 42" deck to a 54" fabricated deck, which gives great control on height of cut. The deck suspension and wheels have eliminated some prior scalping issues. I now enjoy my ride around the yard in comfort.
