The Grass Man from
Cut through Tall Grass like Butter!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my XT2 LX42 just the other day. My old mower had finally bit the dust, and my lawn looked like a jungle! I started the XT2 LX42 then set the cutting height to 3-1/2. As soon as I hit the grass, it started spitting out grass like a hay bailer! I think this is the most fun I've had cutting the lawn in all the years that I've been cutting -- and that's a long time!
The entire time I was cutting the grass the engine was set at it's lowest setting, and the forward/reverse throttle control was easy to use. Can't wait for the extreme mulching kit to be available, as the grass really shoots out forcefully and at a great distance.

First cut with my XT2
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my Cub Cadet XT2 in February, 2023. I finally got to cut my back field, April 15th , 2023 and I’m very impressed by the cutting. Plenty of power and the fabricated deck is outstanding. Throws grass and and weeds right out with no problems . I cut about a 1/2 acre of grass, weeds and rolling to flat terrain and the XT2 performed much better than my JD that I purchased years ago. The seat is very comfortable and the Kohler 7000 starts right up . A little louder but you know you have a great motor underneath the hood . Left off hood is a great idea along with the LED lights which add another good looks to this tractor. I will post again after 10 hours and a few more cuttings but so far , very happy with this purchase.

Into 5th year and still happy with purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glad I got the XT2 for the heavy duty tires, front wheel bearings, stronger battery, armrests, etc. Purchased in 2020, this model came with a "Cub Cadet" 679cc engine with a 300CCA -21Ah Battery that are still going strong. The starter gave out after 2-1/2 years but under warranty. Told they since changed starter manufacturer. Changed out the butterfly (bow-tie) clips for regular hitch pins to simplify deck removal. At a minimum I would recommend using a hitch pin clip where the PTO cable is attached to reduce time and avoid distress. Happy cutting!

Great looks

I would buy it again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my XT2 LX42 about one month ago and have used it 4 times. It has enough power and maneuverability for use in my treed lot. The engine has never bogged down. The deck was fairly easy to remove to add the mulching blades. I am looking for many years of use out of this mower.

Pleased with my new Cub Cadet mower.
I bought this mower when my John Deere's engine blew. Compared to the JD my new Cub Cadet Has more power, and rides better. Steering is light and the turn radius impressive. So far I have been pleased with it's performance and would recommend looking at Cub Cadet if you are shopping for a new mower.
