Great Lawn Tractor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this because I couldn’t find ZT2 50 in stock anywhere. Was hesitant because of the K46 transmission. Haven’t had a lot of luck with those in the past and there a pain to service. Went to the dealer and test drove it. It’s a lot bigger and beefier than the pictures show it. It’s pretty dang quick to. It will snap your neck back if you go full throttle but can also crawl if you want. Turning is effortless and really tight. It held pretty good on a really steep bank that’s difficult to walk on and usually can only cut with a push mower. That surprised me. Even though I really had my eye on a zero turn I’m really happy with this purchase.

Terrible mulching with fast attach blades
I purchase this model a couple of seasons ago and tried everything to get the mower to evenly. I have a mulching kit because I have mulched for 20 years on this yard even though it is not advisable. The unit itself is great. If it did not have the fast attach blades, I could buy an aftermarket blade and probably resolve the issue. However, because I have fast attach blades (which is a feature that I was not after), I am stuck with the Cub Cadet blades. Which for mulching, seems the be the worst in the business. So I use it for a small tractor with a cart, when needed, and mow my lawn with my 22 year old Craftsmen.

I'm Trying To Like It...But
This mower has a real appetite for gas, I have never used so much to mow my 2 acres. Very hard ride, softened up the tires which helped, but the trade off is its hard to steer. This thing is LOUD when mowing, vibration is excessive. I have only used it 3 times, but its starting to look like under deck cleaning and removal of grass is going to be a constant battle. Seat safety switch was maddening...shift a little in the seat and and it shuts down. Reverse pedal is in an awkward position. Arm rests were silly, those came off 10 minutes after picking it up. But I do like the ignition switch position option that allows you to back up with the mower engaged. I'm really trying to like it, but its not growing on me.

Powerful mower, lousy deck belt tensioning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace a different brand that really wasn't up to our current property. We've got about 4 acres to mow, with hills and lots of bumps. This feels very strong and powers through whatever I have to go through.
Seems to be very good on gas as well.
Big problem, and why it's only 3 stars: In 5 years with the other mower, I NEVER hit a stick that threw the deck belt. In less than 5 months with this mower, it's happened TWICE! It never happened in about 10 years with my previous Cub Cadet either. And, the deck belt tensioning system on this sucks. I haven't figured out how to do it by myself, and you have to reach way under the chassis to put a ratchet in the arm to release the tension.

First mow was satisfying
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Cub cadet xt 50 a 2 weeks ago and used it once mowed fine good power. Other than that from delivery to purchase of cart and leaf collection system has been a disaster. Cart came with no wheels in box and directions for leaf collection system are a joke to say the least. I had a craftsman for 22 years and still ran great with 750 hrs but decided I want a new mower so after hours of research I bought the Cub. 5k later I am not satisfied but time will tell. Hopefully the mower does well but the attachments are a joke. So far very dissatisfied regretting no getting the green mower. As I stated before time will tell

great ride
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in early spring, And so far very satisfied with everything that it has to offer I have had 4 cub cadet riding mowers over the past 20 years and each time I upgrade to a newer model I am more satisfied. Keep up the great work and I will keep a cub cadet in my garage.
