Good design, good quality
This bagging kit is really the only option for a 2016 RZT mower. Design and quality are good, but not great. The kit weighs 125, which makes shipping a pain. They include a completely unnecessary counter weight for the front that weighs about 40 lbs. my kit was missing two nuts and bolts so required a trip to the hardware store.
I use this in the fall only for leaf pickup, which works great. As mentioned, few alternatives so probably worth the cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was easy to assemble which was a bonus and the instructions were clear. Overall functionality isn’t great. The bags are way too small. The chute clogged on my first use but it was easy to unclog. Bigger bags and better chute next time and you have a big winner. This one is a 3/5. Not bad.

Mostly good, fills up fast.

Wish there was a triple bagger option for my mower. Mostly use it to pick up the leaves in the fall. Construction is made of heavy plastic and metal. Should last a long time.

The only thing to be mindful of is knowing how much you can mow before the bags fill up to avoid clogging. But that will be the same with any bagger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As some of the other reviews state this bagger is efficient but the clips that hold the top plastic to the bagger frame are at best awful they are hard to remove and subject to break when putting them back on. The cost of the bagger does not reflect the poor design features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All the parts and instructions were included. The bagger was easy to assemble and install. The bagger assembly only clogged up once when using it and I discovered it won't clog as long as you empty it in time to avoid clogging.

Worthless
6 months old and now need 2nd warranty repair. Cheaply made plastic, breaks very easily. Warranty repair is questionable, at least with my local dealer, who challenges every warranty claim as a customer caused defect. Costs 3 times what it should be, I think.

Bagger clips easily break
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find the design of the bagger clips which hold the bagger closed protrude too far and can easily break off. Have to use hold down bungy cord to compensate which cheapens the appearance of the bagger.

Good bagger....but

I don’t see how the plastic cover will last repeated openings to dump grass. Also, sometimes for no reason the chute clogs at the deck discharge area. Takes a lot of time to clear and reinstall chute. Ithink I wasted my money.

Problematic and poor quality for the price.
I purchased this bagger a little over a month ago. I had a variety of issues that don't pertain to the quality of the bagger itself, but frustrated me all the same. Missing parts that were replaced with incorrect ones that I had to modify myself, a box that was completely destroyed on arrival, and the iron counterweight bounced around inside the box during transit so even the manual was torn to shreds.
When I finally got the bagger installed (easy enough with the right parts), I found the following:
- I cannot cut the grass at anything lower than the highest setting for the deck without the chute clogging.
- If the grass is green, the chute clogs.
- If there is the slightest bit of moisture in the grass, the chute clogs. I have to wait for 2 good sunny days after rain before I can use it, and even waiting on a sunny day until the afternoon after a morning dew yielded dubious results.
Sensing a theme? In addition to the clogging issues, the material quality is mediocre and I'm concerned that even a small bump is going to break something. There's a foam material that's supposed to secure the chute into the container on the back, and it lasted exactly one emptying of grass before it was shredded and useless.
When the bagger was working, I found that I had to empty it every 3-4 minutes of cutting moderate growth grass. That's not really a 'problem', but I strongly encourage others to pick up the triple bagger unless you're only mowing a small lawn. It looks like it would fit on the 46" tractor without adding much size. The routine emptying of the bagger has turned a 2 hour job mowing 2 acres into a 4 hour one.
Ultimately, I think the manufacturer is taking advantage of the fact that this is the only bagger you can get for these particular tractors. The design is poor, the build quality is mediocre, and 2 tubes, 2 bags, a hood and mounting bracket are not worth $650 after taxes. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to put up with this thing unless I can find a decent tow behind model from a third party that comes with it's own inherent drawbacks.
The only reason this giant {expletive} gets a second star is because if I cut my lawn without it, wait 3 days for the sun to dry the clippings, then use it...it sorta works.
