Cub cadet 54 inch extreme mulch kit s blade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can honestly say that I am happy with this blade and mulch kit read a few of the other reviews were a gentleman said it made his lawn mower loud I actually think it's quieter it cuts perfectly the one gentleman said there are clumps when you drive across payment inside walks I would have to say that's due to the grass being too wet when you're cutting the grass I've used it twice now with the mulch kit and see nothing wrong it cuts as well if not better the main thing to shoot cover doesn't allow any stones or anything to be ejected due to the fact that it's mulching I would highly recommend easy to put on a very nice price

The best addition to any zero turn.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is magnificent, it has saved me lots of time by being able to mow from both sides of the zero turn without having to worry about getting grass clippings in my mulch beds from the grass chute. Also the blades do a wonderful job chopping up the grass clippings so small you don't see them. Grinding them into small pieces that fertilize my lawn. This by far is the best addition to my zero turn. So much so that I bought an additional set of blades for next year. Takes less than a minute to install the chute guard, easy to take on and off for under deck cleaning. Installed on an ULTIMA ZT2 54.

Mulching Kit for the Cub Cadet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The equipment / materials are well made and works great. The mulching blades cut the lawn and leaves into fine pieces. This helps greatly in keeping clumps away, I don't have time to cut as often as I should so the lawn is usually pretty long. This is a great add to the Cub Cadets abilities in keeping the lawn looking great. The cost of the kit is very affordable and reasonably priced. This is a much needed add for keeping the lawn looking its best.

Ultima ZT1 54" Mulching Kit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product, easy installation after watching the Cub Cadet and other YouTube videos.
Product works well, and leaves the lawn looking fresh after the mowing process w/o the standard un-bagged lawn cuttings spread everywhere.
I chose the mulching option over bagging for the reason of putting the nutrients of the cut grass back onto the soil.
I definitely recommend the mulching kit, over the standard blowing grass all over the yard.
Quality blades and mulching block.

Would not recommend
Just mediocre performance, blades do not cut even and deck will drop a huge amount of grass as you cross over a sidewalk or driveway. I removed the plastic plug and that eliminated the large grass build up in the deck. I will put the plug back on and try it in the Fall to mulch leaves. Also, the mulching blades vibrate the deck much more than the stock blades. Overall I would say that the kit is not worth the price and I would not purchase again.

Mulching Kit Flat Top Extreme
Mine was for a 54 inch ZTS2 54 purchased 4/2022. I had ordered the wrong one (Star Shaped hole pattern) by mistake before realizing I needed the "S" shaped pattern.
Deck removal was a breeze even for this 59 year old guy. Remove front deck pin, move deck towards rear of mower, remove belt from pulley, remove other two deck pins, slide deck out to the Chute Side of the mower, done.
Flip deck up to access the blades. Remove blades and torq to 100 ft/lbs.
Install plastic mulch plug from outside of chute. This does take a bit of finagling but it WILL fit properly once you get it in there. Tighten with wing nut provided.
Re-install deck in reverse order, belt onto pulley first, front deck pin, side pins, check deck measurements side to side, front to back.
Go have fun mowing while rejuvenating your lawn with fine mulch.
If you leave your grass too long or try to cut too short or if it's WET, you WILL have to slow down mowing to obtain a nice look to your yard. Nothing crazy, just watch how it's doing and adjust speed as necessary.
When finished mowing, leaf blower your mower off completely (I used to use the Deck Washes but after speaking with other owners and Cub Cadet workers, all say to use a leaf blower and not the washes due to pre-mature wear with bearings and such.
This easily gets my 5 star review. It installed easily and works great.
I did have to purchase somewhere else due to Cub Cadet being back-ordered but felt strongly enough about the product to write a positive review on it as it is definitely worth the trouble to find one.

Effective Mulching
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the installation very easy and straight forward. I do recommend an impact gun for blade removal and install as it makes it safe and easy. The blades are ok. I like the finished product after a couple of touch ups. Seem that you have to make extra passes occasionally due to some grass being missed between blades. Does a good job of mulching with minimal grass clumps. Recommend but don't cut damp grass.
