Rated 4 out of 5 by from Power feels great, easy throttle positioning The Kawasaki engine on this unit feels more than up to the task for moving the mower. And there was no notable hesitation in engaging the blades. Deck height adjustment was easy using the pedal to lift the deck and turn the height dial which is clearly marked. Steering felt very easy and tracking straight was not a problem. A nice update to my existing Cub RZT-S mower is the abruptness, or lack thereof, when coming out of reverse. While still notable if you release the reverse pedal too quickly, this new model softens the stop. Whether accurate or not, the seat on this unit felt a bit narrower than my current seat. Disclaimer: years ago I upgraded my seat to a model that was more padded and had arm rests. It was something I was definitely missing in this unit. Another notable difference was this unit’s seat isn’t on a slider rail for adjustment relative to distance to the pedals. On this unit, there are only 3 adjustment position and it requires flipping up the seat and removing some handheld set screws. This is mildly cumbersome for when I want my son to cut the grass, as he and I are notably different heights. It’s not a deal breaker though. Lastly, this mower handles bumps a little better than my old RZT-S. My current mower can be quite jarring. This new unit isn’t as bad, but still can be rough enough to bounce me enough to trigger the safety sensor to disengage the blades. (I’ve seen mowers with basic suspension, but I don’t know that I’ve seen it on residential-class mowers.)
