Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my purchase. The mower is sturdy, comfortable on flat smooth grass, and has enough power to manage my 4 acres. Features that must be included in future models, hour meter, and the same readout advising you when maintenance is due. The seat should be made with better suspension to reduce the bumps on uneven surfaces. The blades on the mower must be sharpened. They come very dull, and do not cut very well. I sharpened mine to the point you can shave with them. The cut is superb. All together it is a good machine for the homeowner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok value for a ZTR The good 1. Manufactured deck(not stamped out) 2. 23hp Kawasaki engine - just wish I could afford a liquid cooled engine 3. Comfortable seat and hand controls 4. Yes to headlights - led type 5. Very heavy duty frame. Now the bad 1. No hour meter - it used to have one, now they got cheap - they even have a knock out for one(the covered it up) the connector still exists but just bypassed it 2. They also removed the deck clean out port no longer exists and they covered it up. 3. Very cheap(poor quality) bagger (crappy plastic shoot) If they would just send out the parts(hour meter and deck wash out) it wouldn't take much to hook it up. Verdict - a reasonablely priced ZTR with some drawbacks

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ANOTHER GREAT BUT! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GREAT MOWER, BUT, WHAT IS UP WITH CHANGING THE FORMAT OF SPINDLES AND BLADE ATTACHMENT? WHY GO TO THE SILLY "S" CENTER? WHEN ARE YALL GOING TO SEND OUT A MOD TO CHANGE THIOS BACK LIKE IT WAS? I DONT NEED THE SUPER DUPER HIGH LIFT BLADES. THEY DONT CUT BAHIA WORTH A DAM! YOU HAVE TO DRIVE SLOW AND THEN LOOK BACK AND SEE A LINE IN THE MIDDLE WHERE IT DIDNT CUT. MY OLD 42" CUB GOES RIGHT THRU IT, NO PROBLEM. MY OLD CUB HAS REGULAR BLADES. THIS MOWER WOULD HAVE RECEIVED A 5 STAR IF I COULD BUY BLADES OTHER THAN WHATS ON IT AND SAME CONFIGURATION.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, but! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great mower. I had the 42" regular mower for 5 years. Worked flawlessly, but took too long to cut my yard. So I purchased the zt1. So much faster to cut yard, awesome! Buttttttttt!!! As everyone else has said, where the F! Is the hour meter! So stupid. Can't wait till I can buy a car without an odometer! Hmmm? When would I do the 10 hour oil change! Only reason I didn't rate 5 stars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No hour meter really!?!?!? I hope you dont plan on keeping up with the service on this mower or ever selling it to upgrade. I was told by an agent that it is up to me to write a log as to the hours I have ridden the mower. Aparently, starting 2021 they have removed to hour meter from the mower. 3 k for a mower and they cant include an hour meter? Part of me thinks it is a ploy so they can deny wrty issues as they arise. Who is going to write down the hours everytime they mow. Mower will sit in my garage Until I get an hour meter for it. I can already see how this is going to play out. Take it in for a repair and be denied because I cant tell you when service was done. Ever try to sell it, no one will pay you anything because "hours are unknown" I have been excited about this purchase for a while, now I bought it and I would not recommend to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a BEAST My biggest complaint is their is NO hour meter that comes on it, you have to spend another $50 and put it on yourself which is not hard just a hassle, it would have been better just to increase the price $50 and have it come standard on it. When I first used the mower it was very loud and had a lot of vibration, I'm hoping over time it will quite down some with less vibration. Other than these two things I would have given it a 5 star. Overall I'm pleased with the mower so far I have only mowed with it once, you can't go wrong with the Kawasaki engine.....I really wished it was offered on the ZT1 42 inch mower!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer beware I bought a ZT1 50 with a fabricated deck in May of 2019. Put around 20 hours on it in 2019 before storing it for the winter. When I went to put it into service in the spring of 2020 the entire electrical system failed and Cub Cadet service center spent 8 weeks trying to fix it. They had to rewire the whole machine and didn't know why. It worked for the rest of the 2020 season. April 2021 I went to put it into service and it would not run, electrical issue again. Cub Cadet service center picked it up and had it for 1.5 weeks. This time the ignition switch failed with 44 hours on the machine. I talked with Cub Cadet help desk and asked if they would offer extended warranty on electrical system due to these issues. They will not. I think I have a lemon and not willing to risk these failures once the warranty is up next year. Time to list the mower on Craigslist!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Standard Features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't believe Cub Cadet is not making an hour meter and fuel window/gauge as standard equipment on this mower. Who wants to be 2+ acres from their shed and run out of fuel? Better yet why not void your warranty by not keeping up with your maintenance at the proper intervals? I have always used Cub Cadet, but have to consider switching to a Deere if Cub Cadet is going to get make decisions like this.
