Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the ZT2 54 last fall when my John Deere GT 235 no longer could handle our mowing. Our property is 1.65 acres with lots of trees, shrubs and rolling hills. What used to take approximately 3 hours to mow the entire property now takes approximately half the time and is fun to boot. This machine is extremely well-made and I have no doubt it will last for many years to come. Also the fact that I was able to obtain zero percent financing made this one of the easier and wisest decisions I have ever made. I am extremely pleased.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blade Eater [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Be prepared to stock up on blades! I am extremely happy with everything about this mower and if I could find blades that weren't cheap metal and lasted, this would be a 5 star review. At the cost per set, I am going to go broke!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Couldn't last the first season By August od the 1st season the deck self destructed. Found all but one bolt left in broke spindle which of course broke causing further damage. It tooks weeks for the dealer to get an answer from Cub Cadet on the warrenty claim. Cub Cadet rejected warranty claim saying I hit something which caused the damage. Yeah, my yard isn't perfect, but this is not my 1st mower either. It came apart in an area where there was nothing to hit indicating that it took time to come apart. I thought I was buying a higher grade mower than I got. Will be looking for something a little tougher.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't find replacement blades AGAIN! This thin g eats blades like nobody's business! IF I COULD FIND A SET, I would be putting the third set on in 15 hours. Because of the "S" shaped holes, I cannot find good quality after market blades. No one else makes them with the "S" shape. I am at the mercy of the cheap stamped OEM ones. Which are un available anywhere I look!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ZT2-54 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 5hrs on unit.I like it a lot so far.Three complaints I would have are No fuel gauge,Small fuel tank and the blades are expensive and only source I found is the manufacturer.Over all very pleased with it.I did put a seat suspension on it for a smoother ride.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Yard Ornament Every time I submit a truthful review they delete it. It appears they don't want potential customers knowing that the blades are soft metal and wear out quickly. I am being told I cannot get blades until mid August. They will probably delete this review also.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2yrs...60+ hrs [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Research several and settled on this one. Second year on this and here we go. Blades......junk, plain and simple. Been a machinist better part of 2 decades, soft steel at best. Seat is great, but shock absorber ain't much to brag about, feel all the bumps. Deck has more grass on top after mowing than yard. Why so many holes, but it's well build and strong. Rear tires, not much count. Another china made fit-all. Great pull a hill. Had front tires bouncing going up, but down any slight grade, it'll run off and leave tracks. Switching to Ocelot tires. Hydro- gear motors....great. Easy to service and plenty of power. Just buy 2 overpriced filters and Castrol 20w-50. Kawasaki motor...another great one. Just blow out the air filter regularly and your rings will last a very long time. Manual deck lift and height adjustment, can't screw that up. Just a key, blade switch, throttle and chock, pretty simple, nothing to break. No fancy fenders to rip off either. Just a plain mower. Yelp......I'd buy it again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Three years [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this around three years...so far, no problems. The machine is fairly loud...in order to listen to music I need to use in ear headphones that are covered with a fairly deap set of over the ear ear protectors. I have fairly sandy soil, so the original blades barely lasted 10 hours. I bought a set of XHT USA HD blades and ( with a few sharpening) they've lasted about sixty hours. My yard (4 1/2 acres (2 acres of mowing) is fairly bumpy in areas. Keeping the rear tires a little soft helps some. Even with normal pressure, the ride is surprisingly decent. I really wish there was a fuel gage ( ran out of gas a couple of times). The agility of the machine makes it seem like I'm dancing with it (I can't Dance). Mowing with it is fun.
