Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this mower My first zero turn mower after years of front engine mowers. This mower leaves my lawn looking great. It is very easy to use and gives me the control needed contour around landscaping beds. A well thought out quality built machine and the Kohler engine is great. I love the clean simple design, Everything is out in the open and looks like it will be easy to maintain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower for hilly terrain. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in SE Tenn. and my ~3/4 acre yard is very hilly. (22 to 25 degree in areas). With my old lawn tractor i had to learn to ride side saddle and i would still slide down hills a times. This mower is very stable . I bought it late in September and really only had two cuttings before my zoyzia started going dormant so i it won't get a good workout until next year, but my initial impressions are very favorable. My only criticism, and it is a minor one, is going down slight slopes when you take ypur foot off of the forward peddle, it will still creap down hill until you put the parking break on. I was told the unit would stop all motion when you at neutral pedal which is not the case unless you are on flat ground (which i don't have much of). I does run smooth with little vibration, has a comfortable seat and gives my zoyzia a nice clean cut. I will highly recommend to all my neighbors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 46" ZTS Synchro Steer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed a new lawn mower for our acreage and wanted a zero turn. Saw the zero turn Cub Cadet ZTS with an actual steering wheel sitting on the floor of the local Bomgaars Store. It was $1000.00 more than the other Cub Cadet Zero turn mowers that work with side levers. Was thinking to myself, how nice it would be to be able to use a steering wheel rather than levers. So after much contemplation and a reluctance to spend an additional $1000.00, I bit the bullet and purchased it. Absolutely the BEST mower I have ever owned. So easy to control. Has foot pedals for forward and reverse instead of having that choppiness that comes with the level types of pushing the lever just a little too much and suddenly jutting forward or backward without a whole lot of control. With this ZTS, the overall control is top notch as compared to the side lever machines. Over the years I've had John Deer, Toro and Husqvarna and this one is by far the best lawnmower I've ever had. Worth the extra money. My lawn now looks like a golf course and its actually kinda fun using this machine especially for someone like myself whom really doesn't enjoy mowing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, great on hills, very stable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this two months ago and am very happy so far with my purchase. I mow 1 acre, mostly hilly and this mower does great. It rides smoothly and cuts great. it takes hills up and down with no problems. I highly recommend this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough little mower Ive been searching for a zero turn that could take my hilly landscape. Found this little gem at a local dealer. It worked fantastic and cut everything I needed it to. The yard was neglected for years and Ive slowly been reclaiming it. This made a full day of mowing to a little over and hour of work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Miss my Toro I purchased this mower exclusively because of the zero turn steering wheel model. Reviews are favorable, so I took a chance. First time using it (with the mulch kit installed) it choked out and stalled once, so had to go very slow and cut half widths. Even doing that it left a strip of uncut grass right down the middle of the cut. Taking the mulch kit off next time to see if that’s the problem. If it is then I highly discourage anyone from purchasing this mower if they want to mulch. Think I made a poor purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great compromise, Drives well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a large, over an acre and a half, yard with the sections with established zoysia, new sodden zoysia this year, and a section that is currently fescue. The terrain is slightly rolling with a lot of maneuvering around trees, shrubs, and patios. I was looking for something to ride that would cut my zoysia close to how I can stripe it with the push mower, and could maneuver around tight areas so I wouldn't have to go over areas multiple times. I also wanted something where the tires did minimal damage. I had a 46" deck Cadet rider that just couldn't do an even cut, and had too large a turning radius. My experience with free wheeling zero turns was not good. Then I discovered the ZTS. It really is a good compromise. Not perfect, but nothing is. It has a very tight radius, but sometimes the deck still has to be maneuvered around the area a few times. Learning to lift the deck for turns is something to get used to, but it takes me several hours less time to do the yard now. They should add the forward weight that comes with the bagger as standard equipment. Without it being too aggressive on touching the reverse pedal and it will almost do a wheely. I am tall, 6'2", and at about 180 I'd like the seat to go back another couple inches. Though, im guessing of it was it would wheely even more. The deck appears very solid and well constructed. The cut is good. Not as nice as my push mower, but close. Though, I'm not sure the mulcher blades I had installed before delivery were really sharp. Replacing them with the regular blades to attach the bagger, they seemed sharper. Besides being able to go back a bit more, I wish there were arm rests on the seat. Aside from those niddles, I love how it drives and maneuvers. Ots a bit light, so a non-smooth yard will jostle you around a bit. The tires do a great job not hurting the grass and while I can tell the stock battery is weak, it cranks without killing it. Even when I accidentally had the throttle set wrong turning it once. Overall I highly recommend this over a zero turn or rider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zero Turn Excellence [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never owned a zero turn mower because I was concerned about learning how to use the levers and about tearing up the yard by turning too quickly. I bought this one since it uses a steering wheel instead of the levers. I've hated mowing the lawn for years, but this mower actually makes it fun again!! The machine has intuitive controls and a solid construction. I'm very happy with this purchase and look forward to many years using this machine!!
