Very hard to turn no matter the speed. It is exhausting to drive. Cub Cadet wouldn’t let me return it. I will never buy from them again.

An Excellent Zero Turn Mower
Stark Street Lawn and Garden, Portland, Oregon delivered our ZTXS6 60 mower today, and we were impressed with the thoughtfulness of design, high-quality materials, and careful assembly, as well as the power of the 25.5HP Kawasaki engine, which started right up. We ran the machine without mowing grass for about 20 minutes to become familiar with proper operations as described in the manual. When we mowed for the first time, we found that operations were intuitive and greatly facilitated by conveniently located informational stickers near foot pedals, the emergency brake, the control panel, and other functional parts. Power, speed control, and maneuverability were excellent as we mowed around sprinkler heads, yard lights, rocks, and along garden beds, water features, and over open areas. A most pleasant surprise was the comfort provided by the cushy, adjustable floating seat with armrests. The adjustable steering wheel made access and mowing comfortable, easy and intuitive, and the wheel was well synchronized with the drive wheels. Having a safety belt, rollover protection, and control of front wheels will greatly enhance safety when we mow hillsides. We highly recommend this product.

Reduced mowing time
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We also own a ZT2-54 for a few years that takes awhile to mow our property. Bought the ZTX6-60 to cover ground faster and it definitely does because of extra deck width and higher ground speed. Also safer on our slopes as I was always concerned about flipping the ZT2. The ZTX6 has a roll bar and seat belt which I always use now. The larger Kawasaki engine isn't bothered by tall grass, and it's nice to be able to scratch my head or adjust my hat with the free hand that the steering wheel gives me compared to lap bars. Also better straight-line stability on long slopes, because of the front steering and rear hydro control that's connected to the steering wheel through a patented mechanism. Tire treads on the front wheels keep the front end from wanting to drift. The first time that I used the machine I was disappointed in the harsh ride but when I checked tire pressure, the dealer had apparently inflated them to the maximum rating on the sidewall instead of the recommended pressure which is half as much. That made a big difference in ride comfort. I'd recommend this machine to anyone who has large rolling property. I also like the fact that Cub Cadet does not wrap the engine compartment with bodywork that hampers cooling and echoes noise, and makes service more difficult.
