Mulch cover terrible, Blades great
The blades are great. The mulch cover is terrible. It does not fit well at all (as per other reviews). Grass flies up between the deck and mulch cover and between the bottom of the deck and the mulch cover. I was covered in grass. I fixed it (sort of) with gorilla tape on the top to seal the cover and the top of the deck and 4 zip ties to hold the bottom of the mulch cover tight against the bottom of the deck opening. For the zip ties, you will need to drill 4 holes in the plastic mulch cover to fish the zip ties through, then just tighten them. I would have returned the whole thing but i did not see any aftermarket mulch covers available. In any event, Cub Cadet should be embarrassed by the quality of what they sell a as a mulch cover.

Poor plug design.
Mulch kit arrived quickly and install onto the mower deck was easy but the plug that covers the discharge is not very good. After
Mowing for some time, grass will collect on the plug and push it out the bottom, after this happens the mower will leave strips of grass all over the lawn.

A good option
Based on the reviews I expected there to be more issues with the cover but it worked just fine. Overall happy with the package, it does leave a little windrow down the middle when I used at at 3in deck height no matter what speed I went.

These mulch well.
The blades were easy to install. I have used them a number of times, and the muching works very well. There is minimal grass buildup under the deck from mulching.

Poor plug
The blades are good, but the plug doesn't fit well as other reviews have mentioned. I did modify it to work better.

Work well with a modification
The mulch kit cover. I had to bolt a 2 inches steel lip to make it to seal. Now it works as it should.
