Works as advertised
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fit my ZT1 54 easily sliding in the mower deck. I took off the original discharge chute causing me to seal the joint to prevent debris from spewing out. A small bead of silicone did the job.

GT 50" Mulch plug for stamped signature deck
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this mulch plug for my GT50 signature deck and wasn't expecting much because of all the bad reviews but it works great. Got to run a little slower forward speed, but it chops the grass and leaves into just about dust, even those 8" long oak leaves, run them over and they are gone. Possibly because I'm using XTEN high lift blades rather that the CC blades. Only downside is it makes a mess with clippings all over the deck

does seal
the unit install easy, but does seal very well. I bought this plug to keep the debris inside the deck , and not all over my legs. I do have a very dry lawn & it makes alot of dust. You could trim & seal up all the opening with silicone, but than you couldn't remove the plug to clean your deck, which I do regularly. good luck

Hard to find, but helpline figured it out
Hard to find online as this one has a new part number. Finally phoned help desk ( always my last resort anywhere) and was helped by a wonderful person who took the time to figure out what the new part number was. Perhaps cub cadet/ MTD could put a document up showing the old and new part numbers?

Love this thing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Old one bounced off while I was towing and had to buy another as soon as possible! We have Bermuda grass and this is a must. Just to confirm, it fits perfectly on ZT1 54” (the description doesn’t make that clear but it fits perfect).
