Product Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pro Z 700 S [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mower is a tank well constructed for sure. The steering wheel gives great control on slopes sideward motion going forward. Now the cons: I have two knee implants, try holding your foot down for couple of hrs. and your foot starts sliding into the reverse pedal 2" next to the foot pedal inside forward. That's one issue. The second is going downhill gentle slope and the mower thinks you on a race track with your foot off the pedal. You grab the hand brake trying to slow it down as it slides forward with turf tires. It's a problem believe me. The deck raising it or lowering it with your left leg artificial knee becomes a challenge. Yes, I agree with another reviewer; Hey fellows, think about adding a foot brake or like would help. Yes, electric motor for the heavy deck as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied Owner I started with a Pro Z 160S and moved on to a Pro Z 560 S and then a Pro Z 760 S, all of which I purchased new. Along with my current 760 S, I also have a Pro Z 972 S that I purchased used. I have found Cub Cadet to be a quality machine and while any design has its short-comings, I find any I might have with Cub Cadet pale in my general pleasure with the machines. I can see where someone would find the deck lift system to be a challenge as it is a bit heavy especially with the 72 inch deck. I have found if I keep the pivot points lubed that lifting the deck becomes much easier. There is a power lift accessory that can be added to the machine to ease the deck lifting. The steering wheel model is excellent on sidehills. One of the deficiencies of any hydrostatic drive is the possibility of a degree of run-away on steeper downhill travel. I have not encountered much in the way of a problem with that. I agree with another comment that holding the travel pedal for hours at a time can create discomfort regardless of the strength of one's legs. While the travel pedal is not difficult to depress, holding it for long periods can put your leg to sleep. Can cruise control be added to give the operator a break between turns at the end of the row?
