Good machine but...
I have now used my PRO Z 972SDL EFI for 150hours and this is what I can say. Its a beast on hills. A Billy goat I would say. Can mow just about anywhere, however. I have broken 3 deck springs, 1 deck pully, 1 spindle, the fuel sender unit has failed, one of the transmissions has a serious leak, and one set of the rear wheels fell off due to not being tightened from the factory. Cub Cadet (through my authorized dealer), has fought me on almost every repair/replacement part I have requested. The big one is I was supposed to check the inner lug nuts before every use. BTW the only way to check those is to remove the outer wheels. Also there are several wear parts you should keep on hand, ( I have replaced every belt and the main one 4 times), I keep at least one of each belt (3 types) mower blade washers, mower blade nuts, deck springs, a deck pully, and various other parts on hand for this reason. Also I am not commercial I am a home owner on a hill 8 acres of mowing 3 times a month. Again its a Goat, but for the price I expected it not to have the issues it has. Lastly the manual is great at not telling you what types of oil you need, filter sizes, etc. hard to look these up.
