Great mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought it back April, 2023. now sept 2023. purchased from the dealer right out of the crate. not some big box, sit outside in the weather, no warranty store. it has 14 hrs. everything has worked great. no overall complaints. mows good. rides good handles good. it replaced a husky 42 mower. the quality is far better than cheaper mowers. they wanted $2000 for cheaper mowers. for the extra $500 it was well worth it. so far. totally satisfied. only thing i advise is never use power washers, water to clean. i only use compressed air. and wipe down with damp cloth. i also used ez slide on underside of deck. seems to work well repelling wet grass, dirt, etc. i service with fram oil filters and automotive 10w/ 40 full synthetic oil. its better and cheaper. Fram filters only approx. $5 instead of $20. i get 3 - 1 acre cuts per 3 gals of fuel. also purchased a full cover that really works. and keep it under a lean to roof. 23hp v twin kohler has more power than it needs. and runs way smoother than single cylinder. i will never go back to a cheaper mower.

Great lawn tractor
I purchased the XT1 for cutting two acre lawn with a number of trees and other obstacles to cut around. The cut in reverse combined with the hydrostatic transmission has reduced mowing time and the deck leaves a clean cut. I have both the bagger and mulch plate and both work great it made fall clean up a breeze

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is for the XT1 LT46 Cub Cadet Lawn Tractor. I live on an approximately 1/2 acre lot in Virginia Beach and have been at my current residence for 20+ years. While my property is fairly small I have several mature oaks, maples, dogwoods and Tulip Poplars either on my property or adjacent to it. So this time of year involves a whole bunch of leave pickup which is the primary reason I have always owned a lawn tractor with a 2-3 bin bagger. This cuts the amount of bags I have to bag and the time commitment down significantly. Even with the heaviest portion of the season my total commitment is about 4 hours with this machine paired with the triple bagger. I had owned a craftsman 42" tractor for 17 years until the 20 hp kohler finally gave out with a cracked crankcase. After researching Husqvarna and John Deere I opted for the Cub Cadet primarily because of the look and option to pair with a triple bagger. I went with the 46" XT1 over the 42" due to it's more powerful 23 HP engine and it hasn't disappointed. The old tractor had a handle based control for forward and reverse in the area where the blade engagement is on the Cadet, so the pedal based system took a little getting used to, but after five uses I'm pretty proficient at it now. I purchased this unit on a Tuesday and it was delivered the next day which was really cool. The unit was gassed up, with oil and ready to go, I did have to adjust the deck from front to back and adjust the deck wheels for my cutting height but that was it. Here's what I love: 1) Love the look of this thing, the yellow and black with the LED lighting definitely commands attention. I had one neighbor stop what he was doing and just stand there looking at me slack jawed in awe, it looks that good. 2) The 23 HP kohler is a nice improvement over my last tractor, it doesn' bog down at all with really deep leaves, it completely sales through them with ease. It easily climbs the slightly graded berm that defines the front of my property. 3) I have experienced Zero Clogs with the triple bagging system, even with damp leaves, my old tractor use to constantly get clogged where I would have to disconnect the tube from the mower deck and manually clear the clog. 4) Turning radius is awesome with steering being a breeze. What I don't like or could be improved: 1) The rear deck wheels are not rounded, they are squared off, this means when I'm making a cut around one of my trees it can get caught on the edge as I'm making the turn which if I'm not careful will mean eventual bending and damage to the mount. They should be rounded like the front wheels. 2) the leave pickup is not as good as my old mower, by this I mean that as the blades spin they tend to fling leaves out the front and to the right vice shooting them to the discharge shoot. I have adjusted the cutting height and deck angle, which helped, but end up making more passes to collect stray leaves than I have had to do in the past (this is a nit and may be a technique issue). Where it makes up for this is in capacity of the tripple bagger and zero clogs. 3) Even though I have gotten used to the pedal controls I think I prefer the old handle based control system as it allowed for a cruise control style of driving. Again a nit. In summary, love the look of this machine, it's performance is spectacular making my job of leave pickup even easier than before.

A lot disappointed
We purchased our machine in spring of 22 and the first year it seemed ok, This year we have had breakdowns every week. Throttle cable has melted twice and key broke off. Mowing an hour away from home and no one stocking parts very frustrating spring.
