Love this mower!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third cub cadet mower, however, is my first zero turn. It does take a little bit to get used to maneuvering however, once you do, you are off and running. I have a little over a half an acre to mow and it has cut my mowing time in half. It is a solid, clean cut, no scalping and edges very well being it’s a zero turn. I did add the mulching kit, even though that had bad reviews, it is worked flawlessly for me, keeping the clippings to a minimum.
Please note, this is one of the entry models of the ZT line, so while it’s a fantastic mower, don’t expect all the luxuries of the higher models….. I did add a few things to the mower, such as a rubber bumper for the deck so if you are close to your house, foundation, a fence or my fire pit, you’re not scratching up the deck. I also bought a seat cable off of so the seat doesn’t flip all the way over when you open up the seat. Additionally, I purchased some armrests. Finally, I also installed a hour meter (none of the ZT1’s come with one), to me, a necessity for maintenance. These features were some things I wanted/expected in a zero turn and not necessary for this great mower to perform as you would expect.
The 3 yr bumper to bumper warranty should also give you piece of mind. I am very happy with this mower and really look forward to mowing the lawn.
