Product Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Really Dissapointed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mower only lasted one full season and a few weeks into season 2 and has already had two issues, one major and one minor. The first issue was the throttle cable broke, which meant it couldn't be started until repaired. Warranty repair, but why a throttle cable that barely gets used broke was suspect. Then a few weeks into the 2024 season and the head blew. Oil had been changed, had new blades, and the repair shop has stated that this appears to have been an issue with the engine, not with anything we did. Cub Cadet is not offering to pay for the repair, which is ridiculous, especially when the repair shop is not attributing this to anything we did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10 outta 10 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mower! Mows nice and even, and looks good too. Setup was a breeze to get the deck level and the anti scalping wheels adjusted easily too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Last Years Version I own last years version of this mower. Its been nothing but problems. The battery hasnt charged since day one. Its left me stranded in the middle of the yard so I have to drag a cord and charger out, pause mowing for an hour, and then start it back up to finish. Brought in for service at a certified CC repair shop last summer. 3rd mow this summer and the battery was dead again. Now the throttle cable has also decided to start pulling out of the lever. That's fun when trying to start a mower on a weak battery. Its back in for service yet again. 2nd summer and its been in twice. Unacceptable for a brand new mower that wasn't cheap. I wouldn't buy another one and wouldn't recommend to anyone based on my experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it. When we took delivery of our xt1 lt50 it has a battery that wasn’t strong enough to turn over the engine. Nothing that a Battery charger can’t fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save time [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just moved into a new home and it took me 4 ½ hours to mow my lawn. With my new Club Cadet It takes less than 45 min.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a John Deere for 5 years and the engine crapped out on me. It was a 42" deck. To mow I had to push up on a handle. And to mow backwards I had to push a button. So I decided to go with a Cub Cadet. It has a 50" deck, a pull to mow and automatic backwards mowing. There is even cruise control. Best mower ever. Highly recommend Cub Cadet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality Mower . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the power and the way you engage the mower blades, the deck roller and the overall construction is top notch . I am seeing many more Cub Cadets around the neighborhood, what did I start lol ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with my XT1 LT50 FAB [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable tractor. The sliding seat is great for accommodating tall or short operators. Nice cut as expected and discharges clippings with enough force to not leave windrows. Deck design also prevents clipping build-up that I saw in my last mower with a stamped deck that required frequent scraping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Beast [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband called this mower “The Beast”. He absolutely loves this. This has been one of the best purchases made yet for our lawn and the lawn looks amazing! He loves it so much. I never have to ask him to Mow! I think he waters the lawn just so it will grow so he can mow it! Thanks cub cadet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from El Choppo I bought this mower to replace a husqvarna 46” that was 12 years old. It seems to be a quality machine. The deck is a bit louder than my old one. I suppose that’s from it being fabricated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 8 year old XT1, 46" stamped deck, manual blade engage mower with this one a couple weeks ago. Between the newness and the different features, the difference is stark. This one handles much better with the iron pivot arms. It's faster and with the bigger deck, shaved 30 minutes off my 1.4 acre mow. The seat interlock is a) much more sensitive than the old one and b) latches. If I repositioned on the old mower, the blades would cut out momentarily and come back on when I got back in the seat. This one cuts the blades off quickly and you have to turn them of and back on to re-engage. This is safer but a bit less convenient. I got a great deal from my local dealer as well. They were very accommodating and the price was very reasonable compared to the big box store. My neighbors have the competitors mowers and they paid a lot more for less mower. This is my third Cub Cadet and I have no plans to switch.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cant rate what wont move... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] so far its been REALLY good at removing a lot of money from my pocket... Brand new cub cadet 50 inch mower... drove it onto the trailer 2 days ago when i bought it... drove it off the trailer when i got home and put it in the shed... when the espensive bagger arrived i went to get it into the garage to put the bagger on and it got half way there and lost all movement... the engine runs but it wont go forward or backward and the brakes (both regular and parking brake do not work... so i got looking and found the drive wheel had no bolt holding it on and no hubcap... it slipped off the axle enough that it lost its ability to move... this is brand new... less than an hour on the machine... i will be happy to update the review if i can get someone from your company to send me the parts that i paid for and didnt get... because i actually was under the impression i bought a complete machine... im going to go ahead and enter the sweepstakes in the hopes that the winning prize is a wheel bolt, washer and a hubcap

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet - Vaughan’s outdoor Power Equipment Great dealer. Took the time to understand my need and recommend the right riding mower. Super happy with my mower. Works very well and has made my mowing time even better

Rated 4 out of 5 by from XT1 LT50 FAB [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only things I don’t like about this mower is that the "Cruise Control" doesn’t work at slow speeds and the fact that after all these years you still haven't come up with a posi or limited slip differential.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great machine. The motor has plenty of power to get through almost anything and the fabricated deck for just a small amount more over the 46" is definitely worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute garbage We got this lawn mower not even a year ago and it refuses to start. Changed the NEW battery in it already, still has issues. Drained the fuel tank and replaced with recommend fuel, ran for a day and now it’s dead again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost a 5 star review… Loving this mower, have actually owned one years ago as well. Great turn radius and gets the job done quickly! Left off one star, only because now Cub Cadet has decided to not include arm rest/handles anymore … for this much money, I’d like to see them included. (Very pricey to purchase and add) - otherwise, very happy :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy this mower!!! You won't be disappointed!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spectacular!!!! This was the first riding lawnmower I've purchased and am extremely happy that I've gone with Cub Cadet. It is easily able to handle the hills and ditches I need to climb while mowing all while being super comfortable!! Ease of operation is great as well. I'm pretty nit-picky when it comes to my lawn and this machine does not leave clumps of grass all over the place, which I appreciate. The mow in reverse option is a nice feature as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from good power, but poor deck cleaning [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this tractor for two years. The deck will not keep unclogged. I don't mow wet grass or tall grass. I have to remove the deck every time I mow to clean it. Help. I will sell this if I can't find a solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A few adjustments and your good to go. Took about one hour to assemble out of the crate (steering wheel, seat and hood). A few adjustments to the deck to make it level and I was on my way to cutting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet Loyalty [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased an XT1 Enduro 50" Fab. It's replacing a 2005 LT1050 that I purchased ne in July 2005. 18 years and 850 hours later, it was time to get a new one. I did donate the LT1050 to a charity group at my church, for there use. Anyway, if you can't tell, I'm sold on Cub Cadet. I have just over 2 acres, about 1.65 of which needs mowing, spraying, aerating. Etc. Speed, power and reliability are the key features I need. The new XT1 I purchased has stepped in without any let down. It cuts smoother, has more power and is more comfortable than anything in this price range. I shopped around, did research and came right back to my original replacement choice. I've mowed 3 times, hauled brush in brush buggy and sprayed once since I bought it. No regrets, looking forward to 18 years and 850 hours on this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Powerful Mower I bought this almost 1 1/2 years ago, and our grass gets up to 3ft tall. This mower cuts right through the tall grass with no problem

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOA [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I suspect this post may not get published but in the spirit of fair play I'll rate. I purchased the highly praised and reviewed tractor because it was hydrostatic which in the quest section said the electronic deck lift was in the 24 hp 50" deck and higher models. As well as electric start (push button). Upon arrival, not only is it void of those two features, it doesn't start. The Bendix does not engage the flywheel to turn the engine over. Also, a fuse blew when I tried to start it. After three newly purchased fuses, it was discovered the solenoid that allows gas to the carb has a short in it and sparts ,causing the fuse to blow. It's a pretty yard ornament and gets lots of comments by friends and neighbors. It will remain just that until the finance company completes its review of the purchase dispute. Week 3 to date. Was my mistake buying American made????? Husqvarna doesn't look so bad anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't buy again. Have owned many lawn tractors in my time. We bought this one during the pandemic many because it was the only lawn tractor available. I had read reviews that said Cub Cadet was a good brand so had no qualms. Now I regret the decision. Where the mower does an excellent cut, the machine spews out so much debris that you have to wear a haz mat suit while mowing. For reasons I can't explain, the cut grass flies out from under the mower deck at a higher rate than what is going into the bagger. And heaven forbid you hit a mole hill - dirt everywhere. It does not seem to matter at what level the mower deck is (I keep it at it's lowest setting). This is also by far the LOUDEST lawn tractor I have ever owned. So loud that we have to shut the windows in the house when mowing or the dog freaks out.
Date published: 2024-09-07
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mower...but This mower is about a month old. So far so good for my first Cub Cadet. The cruise control does not seem to work correctly. When engaged at mowing speed, it defaults to a crawl. Not what I would consider a real function.
