Cub Cadet Loyalty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased an XT1 Enduro 50" Fab. It's replacing a 2005 LT1050 that I purchased ne in July 2005. 18 years and 850 hours later, it was time to get a new one. I did donate the LT1050 to a charity group at my church, for there use.
Anyway, if you can't tell, I'm sold on Cub Cadet. I have just over 2 acres, about 1.65 of which needs mowing, spraying, aerating. Etc. Speed, power and reliability are the key features I need. The new XT1 I purchased has stepped in without any let down. It cuts smoother, has more power and is more comfortable than anything in this price range. I shopped around, did research and came right back to my original replacement choice. I've mowed 3 times, hauled brush in brush buggy and sprayed once since I bought it. No regrets, looking forward to 18 years and 850 hours on this one!

Good mower...but
This mower is about a month old. So far so good for my first Cub Cadet. The cruise control does not seem to work correctly. When engaged at mowing speed, it defaults to a crawl. Not what I would consider a real function.

Rough ride.
Just rode mine for the first time to cut some grass. That was thee roughest ride. It felt every bump. The steering jerked every time. I only did an hour and my ribs and lower back is sore. Noisy as heck too. If you don't turn on the reverse button, the pto cuts out when you go in reverse. So you shut off the pto and pull it back out. What a pain. If you have a bad back, this is not the one. Thinking about returning it.

Parts supply stinks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the XT1 50 and had it approximately 2 months and battery died. Cub dealer mechanic said he ordered a new battery. Been waiting almost 5 weeks and counting for a new battery. Glad I kept my 26 year old Craftsman to mow 2.5 acres. Seat switch is a touchy. Haven’t had it running long enough to see if it is a good product or not.

Not a bad lawnmower, but not great either
I bought this unit this spring to replace a 10-year old Cub Cadet. While this machine was advertised as a better model, it doesn’t cut quite as cleanly (level) as the previous unit (although still acceptable). And the traction is noticeably poorer than the old tractor. I’m frequently having to get off, put it in neutral, and push because one of the rear wheels is spinning. I’m also having an issue with one of the front tires — it’s soft every time I go to mow the lawn, and I have to drag the compressor up to the garage and inflate it.

Lots of power, mows like crap
I am puzzled as to why Cub Cadet would build a nice, strong, fabricated mower deck and use cheap, flimsy blades and spindles. Less than 7 hours on the mower and the blades are destroyed! What's the sense in that?

Pure garbage
Got it for 30 hrs and sold it. Struggles in tall grass, got to pass 2 or three times on the same spot because it leaves uneven spots. Got a rough terrain ? You are going to spin and get stuck everywhere. Avoid at all cost !!
