Not what I wanted
I have used this machine for one summer.
Pros: (1) Very easy to start (at least when it is still new); (2) The height of the handle can be adjusted.
Cons: (1) The engine is not powerful (clippings do not spread but form chunks, especially when they are wet). (2) The trail shield is poor quality and made of cheap material - it is too soft and can easily tuck inside. (3) The side discharge design is unergonomic (I have to bend my body to a very low position in order to be able to see whether or not the two hooks of the side discharge cover are securely attached to the mulch cover hinge pin. (4) The deck wash is not useful. When the deck's underside is dirty, I still have to tilt the machine sideway and hose it directly instead of using the deck wash mechanism.

Cuts well but blows a cloud of smoke on startup
Bought it new; followed instructions; filled oil with supplied oil (instructions said to use entire bottle). Blows a cloud of smoke on every start. Oil level is full, but not over full.
Cub Cadet service has not helped; told me to check oil level.
Have had it a year and still doing the same thing.
