Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy this if you want to mow everything twice. I wish I had bought anything else besides this mower. The first use I discovered that the mounting plates that attach the deck to the frame were loose and had dropped one side of the deck about 3 inches lower than the other. I reattached the bolts, leveled the deck and tried again. I had to mow twice to get a decent cut. The mower was leaving a tall stripe of grass between the outer blades and the inner blade on both sides. New blades installed and I get the same bad cut. I couldn't even get the local dealer to admit that I have a warranty on a mower that was less than 3 weeks old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The machine with no fear! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Man didn't Cub Cadet out do it with this series! This year’s Ultima series is the best around. I have the ZT2 60 and man she's a mean machine. This machine fears nothing and the strength and power it has is amazing. No matter if you have one or 5 acres if its flat land or rolling hills there’s no terrain will stop it (of course you can’t go straight down a steep slope.) The frame work is amazing built steel tough and who doesn’t like to ride comfortable. Best comfortable in the market it has an 18-inch seat that doesn’t hurt the back! The deck is built to last if the zero turn I don't have the bagger but will probably be adding it. As of now it leaves so clump grass behind, but the bagger would come in handy for winter leaf’s! Now comes the horse power and boy does she pack a punch or two! the powerful 24 Kawasaki engine provides enough power for this machine and you can never go wrong with a Kawasaki engine! This beauty is back by a 3-year unlimited hour warranty not many does that! Along with limited on the frame and fabricated deck but I’m sure this Cub you won’t ever use the warranty! She’s a beauty I now just need the bagger for my 60-inch deck, and she will be a complete piece of art!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deck is Weak and bends! Safety Recall Needed! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a ZT2 60" Zero Turn and every time I use it I have to straighten the area around the deck. The deck tabs that hold the blade hub get bent and the blade scalps your yard. The grade of the steel is very low and with even a light mallet can be straightened. The hub taps are cast AL and also very easy to break (see photo). I wish CC would build a better deck, H_LL I would buy it. Other than hard to start I like it otherwise, but I would return it in a second. There should be a safety recall on this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easier to operate than I thought it would be [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this mower about a month ago to replace our old one that we had for several years that has seen better days. My husband is an over the road trucker and I take care of our home and yard. I was very nervous about getting this zero turn mower compared to our old one, which you just sit down on and operate with a steering wheel. I was so scared, it took me about 2 days of just driving it around the yard to ensure I was comfortable enough with it before trying to cut anything. I am very impressed with the design and convenience this mower offers and how self explanatory it is to operate, (directions by the key switch). I also love the fact that it has 3 blades instead of 2 to ensure even mowing and also this mower has a place to hook up your water hose to its pressure washing system that washes underneath the deck after you are finished mowing. How awesome is that!? It has a smooth ride and guys this mower even has a cup holder! You can easily get to the motor to check oil and do maintenance as needed. They thought of everything, you can even purchase attachements that hook up on the back of it for like mulching or bagging. I am in love with this mower and wish we would have gotten it sooner. I recommend this to anyone in the search for a new mower, you will not be disappointed!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing, I Love it This is my first Zero Turn Mower. I researched several competitors, and settled on the Cub Cadet ZT2 60. WOW, amazing machine. I had first settled on an orange brand, but shange my mind. Here's why. The CC has a sturdier frame, a better, more solidly built deck mechanism, a more comfortable seat, a better and beefier steering controller set, and from what I hear, the CC is much quieter. Compared to the consumer green brand, the green brand looks and feels like a toy. The red brand was equally inferior in each of the areas that I evaluated. Of course, as we progress into commercial machines, there are some fine offerings. That said, the CC is clearly the star of its class, and shares many of the features found on machines designed to be used all day, every day. Last is the cut quality, which I found to be amazing. The CC has a deck and discharge system that results in more cuts on each blade of grass. It simply cuts the grass to a fine mulch, and leaves very few clippings. It also cuts and tracks nicely, leaving a smooth, even surface. As I stated before, WOW.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far, So Awesome I am Very Satisfied with my purchase. To be honest this is my first Zero Turn mower. I am the type of person that if I am going to buy something I am going to do a lot of research before I make the purchase. I will spend more money on an item if I can justify that the extra cost will result in higher quality parts that I feel will increase the durability, ease of use, and longer life span. Thanks to Cub Cadet and the ZT2 60 I feel that I got a machine that is built with all of those qualities without having to pay the extra cost. After my research, I knew that I wanted a mower with commercial quality drive transaxles, a commercial quality motor with more power than I need, a foot pedal so I could quickly raise the deck when needed to keep the blades from hitting the ground or anything else that might be too high to get over, and I also wanted the wider rear tires. The fabricated deck with the reinforced bottom edge, the adjustable seat with a high backrest and arm rests, and being able to mow in reverse are very nice extras that would be on my priority list now, after having used them. I purchased the lots next to me which is why I needed more than a push mower. I was afraid the 60" deck might be a little overkill for my mowing needs, which are now just over an acre of some very uneven ground, many trees, and a lot of slopes that are steeper than what is considered acceptable in the owners manual. I raked the leaves in my lot before I took possession of the new property. The new lots still had all of the leaves still there which have been buried under the snow all winter and then a lot of rain this spring and this mower was able to suck them all up off the ground with the deck height set at 3.5 inches. I did have to go over some of it a second time, only to better mulch the wet leaves, and I was impressed by how much suction and mulching capability it had. It made the leaves completely disappear so well, that it made think that I would not have had to rake my leaves if I had known how well this mower was going to work. I really like my Cub Cadet ZT2 60 mower. I am glad that it does not have all of the extra plastic body parts. It is much easier to blow off the grass and dust, and easier to check and change the engine oil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cub cadet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this mower, cub cadet, approximately 6 weeks ago. It was delivered and in excellent condition. The delivery person showed all the items to me. This lawn mower is fabulous for my 2.5 acre, with very rough yard. Cuts mowing time by 1/3

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely Disappointed! I purchased the mower in early April/May 2019 and I find the cut on the mower to be horrific. I'm not an expert on zero turn mowers by any stretch, but I believe the poor cut is due to how the deck is attached. Compared to other zero turn mowers, this deck if far less stable. The deck went out of level in mid 2019 and I have not been able to get it back ever since. I'm also extremely disappointed in Cub Cadet as they promote these mowers as being able to handle more acres than they really can. This mower would be great if you had 1-2 acres that are completely flat and no obstacles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cut ever Wow is an understatement with this mower. I thought a 60 was to big of a deck for my yard with a walnut grove but I was wrong it is like a balarina hippo but and nimble. To say I am happy with my purchase is an understatement. My whole neighborhood has mower envy. There is 1 down side if you enjoy spending time on your mower you will be upset on how fast it cuts. I just ride on it enjoy it more after cutting. Super comfy seat and amazing handles that are fully adjustable. Must have mower

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet ZT2 60” [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great machine & first 20 hours have been good. But when I first drove it off the pallet and tried to engage the blades for the 1st time, the tensioner pulley was way too tight & couldn’t rotate so was just burning the belt up. I cut off blades right away though & noticed black around that pulley, Loosened it & was good to go. Other then that no issues so far, I do feel very relieved that it has a 3 year warranty. I would recommend otherwise. I also have a 2018 cub cadet Rztl 46” zero turn, and I would have to say the 2018 is built better & more durable than then 2021, & it has over 300 hours. The 2021 Ultima zt2 transformed a lot of metal parts into plastic.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Depressing Expense. It will be the most expensive waste of money. 1st zt2 60in.i had hydro stopped working at 5hrs but a nice clean cut before thar. replacement now 2 weeks old with 2 hrs on it the deck paint flaking off, and the frame section has un even sprayed thin areas and thick ares. with chips in bubbled paint/ weld spatter all over, and all chip and banged up from shipping. along with the control sticker bubbled and the hrs gauge looks like its doesnt fit and flops around you can see the gauge face showing through the black cover sticker with bubbles all over. deck stckers peeling off already.. with 1 mow 1/4 ac lot.mow looks aweful straglers, 2 strips, deck seems unlevel. my grand fathers 20 yr old cub 2000 series garden tractor that was passed down to me was better than this thing. finally gave up so i thought ill stck with cub cadet as im i find something i like i support them. this experiance has me depressed and unure i want to continue with cub cadet. i disabled vet, limited income and work hard for the money i work for and saved for this mower. makes me sick Thousands and this is what I'm more than likely stuck with. some people thats nothing for but to me thats a lot of money i saved to buy this thing and feel unhappy and depressed with what money i basically threw in the trash.☹️

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got 13 hours on it so far and does a great job and leaves a great cut. Love the deck on this cause it creates a excellent suction and pulls everything in for a great cut. Only thing I have found so far I don’t care for in the mower is the discharge flap. It is to long and doesn’t help very well with dispersing the clippings so you get rows. I will be making a modification to this to make it work better. But all in all I call it a win so far for price point and being made in America.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from every place I try I'm told Not available! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is impossible to give a review with 86 dealers within a 100 mile distance and No on has one! The neighbor bought one 3 months ago. I fell in love with it. I currently own a John Deere that I have never been satisfied with. It apparently is worn out as it is always in need of parts and repair at 8years old!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hugh time saver and great cut. I bought this rider to replace an old Craftsman riding mower, I even upgraded from the ZT1 that I was going to buy originally. I like that the ZT2 had features that the ZT1 didn't have and boy am I super happy with my purchase! This mower saves me so much time while mowing my lawn, it is so much quicker than the previous rider. Nice smooth riding, cuts grass very well and is fun to rip around the yard with. I save at least 15 minutes or more compared to my previous mower. I would highly recommend this mower to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty Frame [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my ZT2 60 for a little over a month and it cuts great. The aero-force deck slings clippings far enough out that they don’t make little rows. You really don’t even need a bagger for it. The operator area is comfortable and the seat and steer handles are easily adjustable. The belts are easily accessible, the trans-axles are serviceable, and the front wheels are beefy and have bearings at their pivot points. The negatives are that mine was leaking engine oil right out of the crate, It wasn’t shipped with the hydraulic oil reservoirs as advertised, The fuel tank is a little small for my use, the deck tension spring rattles when the PTO isn’t engaged, and it wasn’t shipped with the deck washing kit as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've had mine for a month ... and [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so good. It is spring time and I am cutting my lawn with it twice a week. It is amazing how much I can get done in 1/2 hour at lunch time. Only complaints are: - Cup holder should be on the opposite side from the discharge chute as whatever is in it is filled with grass in less than a minute. - Headlights are great but tail lights would be a handy addition... especially when working out near the road. I wound up installing tail lights myself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cuts great and easy to use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good product overall... cuts great and easy to use. Cut my mowing time down by 30 to 40%. Only issues was that the driver belt came off after only 8 hours of use. There are no diagrams online or in the manuals to fix that (there are diagrams for cutting belt), so i had to frustratingly spend $300 after only 8 hours use to get the driver belt fixed. Outside of that issue would give the ZT2 60 inch 5 out of 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ZT2 60 The ZT2 60 so far has proven to be a pretty good mower. Its heavier than my previous zero turn. I enjoy the comfort because some of my cutting is rough terrain not smooth. With the kawasaki engine on there it doesn't bog down easily. I like the cut of it. One thing that is missing is a fuel gage. I know its on the 3 but you have enough space in the control panel for one. But overall its a decent mower. I haven't cut with it an entire season yet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Cub Cadet ZT2 60 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I absolutely LOVE our new Cub Cadet ZT2 60 riding lawn mower. This lawn mower is unlike any other standard riding lawn mower. The Cub Cadet has a Kawasaki 4-stroke Air-Cooled V-Twin Gasoline engine which takes regular unleaded gasoline, with a 3.5 gallon fuel tank that lays directly under the seat. It has an adjustable padded seat that is very comfortable and controls extra bouncing and also is a safety that automatically shuts the mower off if you lift off the seat. Unlike your standard rider mower most have a clutch and 3/4 different gears that you have to adjust to control the speed of the lawn mower and different gears to adjust the blades and level of your cut. The zero turn is all controled it the zero turn arms on the mower including reversing the mower to make it easier for cutting. It has an adjustable knob on the side that you can set to the level you want your grass cut. And the front wheels are casters to make it easier to maneuver. It also has a dummy bar on the back that protects you from rolling or tripping the lawn mower over and a slip mat for your feet so your feet won't slide while mowing. Once you use a Cub Cadet one time you will never want another lawn mower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ZT2 60 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just purchased this mower after trying a friends zt3 and I am very happy with it While this is my first zero turn mower, I've owned and operated many mowers from various manufacturers before. I love the look of it and its operation. The engine starts very easily and the mower makes a clean cut. I only gave this mower 4 stars because it came without the required parts to use the Smartjet deck washing system. The dealer said this omission is new this year Cub Cadet -- stop listening to the "bean counters" and listen to your customer service representatives! Saving ten cents (your cost -- $$ for us) on this plastic part only serves to alienate your customers! Are you going to exclude the mower blades next year?? My dealer doesn't stock the part because they never had to order it before. A very frustrating initial experience!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great build quality Overall, great ZT! Very smooth mechanical operation, controls are easy to use, love the reinforced deck, heavy duty wheels and tires and overall build quality. Only thing I would improve on is the ride quality. I have areas where my yard and fields are bumpy and after mowing feel like I need a kidney transplant. For that kind of cost for a ZT that upgrade would certainly be a better selling point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy maneuver ability and very comfortable ride ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago and went back to buy a trailer the next day to give my two small dogs rides in while I am mowing and we all Love it! Looking forward to seeing what other attachments I can get for it to make my yard work easier as I get older I wish to work smarter not harder! Thank you Cub Cadet for making a quality Mower!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems I bought the zt2 60 a month ago and now I wish I would have bought a different mower for 2 reasons. 1. The mower does not have an easy fuel indicator so that I know when I am about to run out of gas. I have to stop get off the mower and lift the seat to see the fuel tank. This really isnt that big of a problem but a fuel gauge of some kind would have been nice. 2. The first time I used this mower it cut great and was easy to use. I stored it in the shed until the yard needed another cut (about 4 days). When I went to get my new mower out of the shed I noticed a horrible smell in the shed that I could not find the source of. Once I started mowing I noticed that the mower was leaving a line of uncut grass right down the middle of the mower. After further inspection I realized that I had an enormous amount of grass clipping stuck under the deck of the mower even though I used the wash port after the previous mowing. The wet grass had Mildewed and that is what was stinking in my shed. Once I removed the stuck grass with a scraper, being careful not to scratch the inside of the deck, the mower cut great. I spend about 20 minutes after each mowing with my mower on a set of car ramps to access the undercarriage of the deck so that I can spray the huge clumps of grass out with a water hose so that it doesnt stink in my shed and will cut the next time I need to mow. I put fertilizer down this year and i am mowing every 3 to 4 days making sure that the grass doesnt get too tall. Which would be great for someone who loved having a new toy to play with everytime the yard needed mowing but not for me. I have sharpened the new blades, I have sprayed dry graphite under deck to help keep the grass from building up all with no luck. If it were not for this issue I would recommend this mower to anyone but due to this major pain everytime I mower I would not recommend this mower!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Extra on board storage for grass! Overall I do like the mower but the deck has major flaws all around it. The thing holds grass like no other even after using the cleaning port it is just caked with grass. My mower on its third use was consistently leaving large streaks of grass behind and being an aerospace engineer who works in a wind tunnel I thought it was due to ground affects from having the deck higher. When I went to check the conditions of the blades, I found the mowers dirty little secret. The thing is a hoarder! Really disappointed in this design overall and I know the grass buildup will shorten the decks life. I guess in a couple of years I'll either design my own deck or just sell the mower. I would not recommend this mower. I think the design team lazily took a smaller deck model that worked and scaled it up without proper testing and the results weren't good. Photo shows grass left under the deck even after using the wash port. Oil quart shown for scale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable seat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mower my first zero turn. Only thing I would change is add a usb or cigarette lighter outlet so I can charge my phone while I listen to it while mowing, some mud flaps and maybe a step on the front to make it a little easier to get in and out of.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very easy handle & fast We bought this last year for our 4 acre property. It handles the large property with ease & fast. Two things I would suggest: a) for a lever to raise or lower the deck itself b) for a gas gauge so you can see your fuel level. Other than that: absolutely love this 'Bumble Bee Transformer' machine :-)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failing - not worth the money Let’s see if Cub Cadet allows this review to be posted. We have now had the ZT2 60 for one month now so we’ve had an opportunity to use it 4-5 times now. In short, if you like wearing most of the grass you cut....this is the mower for you. I’m not sure if it’s the chute angle or the deck itself but either way in even a light wind the grass ejected from the deck ends up covering the rider. So much so that Cub Cadet might as well omit the cup holder because it is useless when grass ends up covering whatever during you have in it. I thought at first that the lack of fenders could be part of the problem so I purchased the fenders but they didn't do much to fix the issue. The fender kit is as poorly designed as the deck and chute. It barely covers the tires and leaves an opening below the frame that still allows a lot of grass to enter the engine area and the back of the seat. It is an absolute waste of money. While we’re talking about the engine area, let me mention the frame...mine is already rusting. A cross member between the upper frame and the lower frame (on each side) is missing a weld. Since this missing weld is on a downslope of the frame, it has already gathered water and is streaking with rust. It is guaranteed to collect more water and debris inside the frame. There is a small weep hole in the lowest part of the frame but it will plug and create more problems. Back to the deck - I have looked at and made as many adjustments to the anti-scalp wheels but I cannot keep the mower from tilting when turning left and leaving uneven lines in the grass. The problem doesn’t seem to be speed related (I’ve tried everything) so it leaves me to a poor deck mounting system. Lastly, I didn’t think the mower striped the yard very well so I decided to put the striping kit (another extra charge) - guess what?? No noticeable difference. So now I have a lot of money tied up into a poorly design and already rusting brand new mower that only looks good but fails on basic functions. Nice job Cub Cadet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very well built mower and just what I needed. It cuts very well and has more than enough power to tackle thick, wet grass. My previous mower was a commercial mower that lasted over 10 years. I fully expect this to do the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought it a month ago and I mowed several acres when I got home with it. Runs great, even in pasture. The cut is huge and it takes a little getting use to where to position tractor to optimize the cut. Very comfortable and quick.
