That means you can easily and quickly remove 18 inches of snowfall at a comfortable pace. It will even bust through the wall of winter at the end of the driveway. Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a beast [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 10/01/16 and have removed light and heavy snows. It does a tremendous job of throwing the snow far enough away so I can clear a large parking area without re-throwing the same snow over again. The third stage really helps move a lot more snow at faster rates so I can get out of the cold and wind. So far I haven't even had to use the electric start, choke it, prime it, and pull 2 to 3 times and starts. I highly recommend this snow blower, you will be amazed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened? I never write reviews, I don't believe in them, most are written unfairly. This is more of a warning. 30" 3X HD snow blower I bought has been a nightmare from day one. I move snow for a living. Cub Cadet is a great name, they dropped the ball this time. So many things went wrong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cut right through the end of the driveway. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually purchased this about 3 years ago and finally had enough snow for the first time to use it. Went right through the unpacked snow with no problems. Although I didn't expect it to walk right through the packed snow very well, it did a very good job irregardless. It would have been better with chains even though the X-Trac tires did provide mostly good traction. I haven't seen them for this model yet but I would hope they become available soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3 stage waste of money Can not handle wet snow. Clogs up and just pushes snow into sheets and compacts it without moving it out of the way. The machine rolls over the mounds it makes without blowing it. Waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable Just over a year and it’s been used maybe 5 times. Second year it won’t start. No old gas was left in the carbs yet it seems like it’s my fault. Actually it is, I bought a cub cadet

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clogs up constantly in wet snow. This 3X unit will NOT clear away heavy wet snow. It clogs up every few seconds, after just 3 feet of travel, in either shallow, or in deep wet snow. All parts of this 3X blower are moving and operational, so that's not the issue. The fast spinning 3X center auger acts like a fan and the short side augers fail to push enough snow into the impeller before a wall of wet snow packs up in front of the impeller, stopping all snow removal. An old 2X unit got the job done without a problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cant handle heavier snow and clogs up all the time I had to go back to using my old 18 year 2 stage cub cadet as the 3 stage just can’t handle any snow and if it’s heavy at all it clogs up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy this snow blower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine has been able to clear my driveway one time since purchased. I live in Maryland and every time I attempt to use it the sheer pins break. This is relatively light snow with no ice. Every time it has a problem. My wife is now shoveling our driveway thanks Cub Cadet and my wife has to shovel. It’s junk

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy This! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just as mentioned in the other reviews (that I wish I would have read before I laid out the $$ for this prices of metal with a motor - notice I didn't call it a snow thrower...?) shear pins breaking are a frequent occasion - so buy a case of them before you leave the dealer. Chute clogs frequently - so keep the small shovel the provide in you back pocket for easy access. Reverse - well only one of the reverse speeds work (only our second winter with this product) and it's the slowest speed of course. If snow is light and fluffy then this does ok. If the snow gets any moisture or gets heavy then forget it this will quickly turn into a snow "pusher" not a snow thrower. A wall of snow will accumulate in the front as the "three stage" feature cannot keep up. They advertise that you can break through the wall of snow at end of driveway that the road plow left for you.....don't even try it unless you have your box of shear pins and a shovel. I have a 20" Toro that's probably 15-20 years old that will out perform this piece of metal with a motor. Save yourself the aggravation and buy something other than this. For the $$ I spent it would be nice if it worked like it should.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flawed design, cheap materials This machine was poorly designed, it clogs up far too easily, breaks pins frequently for no good reason, the cheaply made plastic parts wear extremely prematurely. My 26 year old Sears 10/30 will blow circles around this new machine and stills starts with one pull. Cub cadet should exchange these for something much, much better thought out. This machine is 1 winter old and I just advertised it for sale for 50% of the original purchase price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WORKS WELL but Had this machine 3yrs now but have had some issues. First the electric starter motor stopped working year 2 . Took it apart and it was completely corroded and seized, guess I didn't use it enough. The opening is now taped and use the pull start. Second, reverse is useless, so slow. Third , handle bars too low, always bent over and get a sore back, wish it came with taller tires , its made for short people. But it works good at clearing snow !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I want my money back. I went from a 2 stage Cub Cadet that was 15 years old that would move snow to this joke It clogs up all the time. We end up shoveling most of the time. I finally have given up and now paying a guy to plow my driveway. The dealer that sold this to me told me that he is getting the same complaints from other customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took delivery of this machine a week before the first huge snowstorm in 2021. This machine with its three stage snow moving went through the first round of heavy snow that was 36" high and tossed it effortlessly. The next day was the same amount of snow plus the salt/slush that was plowed into the end of the driveway which was also well handled by this machine. Excellent investment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk - Very bed design Thi is a junk, won't work on heavy ( more than 3") or wet snow, Shering pins every 10 min. Bed pin location, hard to replace in cold and snow. Won' work an wet snow. front blade is pushing, not moving the snow. 3 stage snowblower is the worst design i ever own

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I was hoping for, disappointed Only used 4 times. About 1/2 hrs to 45 minutes each use. Paint peeling on top chute. Does not throw snow as good as I was told. My 20 year old craftsman works better. And paint did not do this on a craftsman. Gave old craftsman snowblower to son. Time to trade him and get craftsman back. Very disappointed with cub cadet. Hopefully they cover the paint issue. Old blower out performed it all around.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Biggest Regret of a Purchase I bought this snow blower in November of 2017. We only had 2 decent snowfalls that winter that I was able to use it. This thing breaks shear pins like crazy. I've already gone through as many as 6 shear pins to clear 1 driveway. I figured it was my first 3 stage snowblower and that I was operating it incorrectly. The winter of 2018 was mild with only 1 or 2 more snowfalls with the winter of 2019 I did not even use this machine because it was so mild. So with that usage history being said, I've only used this machine 5 to 10 times. So far in 10 uses I've gone through 30 shear pins, 3 auger belts, the springs inside both broke, and quite honestly every snowfall I spend more time doing these "maintenance repairs" more than i spend actually blowing the snow. It works great when it works, but quite honestly for 1700 dollars I expected a lot more quality from this machine that it wouldn't constantly be breaking down on me. The motor is very strong, I will say that, however to me it seems like the motor has more power than the rest of the snowblower can handle. The headlights are very bright and the hand warmers work awesome, but that is useless if the machine is being worked on. We just had close to 30 inches of snow, and it went right through it for about a half hour before everything started to go to hell once again with it. I spent 1.5 hours snow blowing, and over 3 hours doing these same "maintenance repairs". I am very disappointed in this unit and if I was able to ship it back to Cub Cadet I would do it in a heartbeat and order a different brand. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT ORDERING THIS UNIT (3X30HD). My parents had a small craftsman snowblower for 15 years and we never had problems like I do with this machine. I could count on 1 hand how many shear pins broke on that machine in 15 years with a lot of those years having 24" + snowfalls. I will probably get rid of this unit at a huge loss in money and get an Ariens Professional.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Paint chipping off Bought this snowblower 2 years ago and a quarter of the paint has chipped off it already! I dont use salt on my driveway and my road isn't salted either. Not covered under warranty of course!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do NOT buy The 420 cc engine is great, lots of power.. The problem starts up front with the auger, very poorly engineered, the spring clip that activates the lever is really weak, both the engage and unengage. We have a total of 5 hours on this blower and the engage spring clip has failed twice and the disengage once. The only thing you can be sure of is when you need it won’t be working !

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good engine I bought this 8 years ago and nothing but problems from day 1 shear pins constantly breaking my old snowblower in the ten+ years might of broken 2or 3 this thing 10 plus a year heavier snow won't throw it more than 5 feet always plugging up 1 gear to fast for really deep snow or heavy and reverse very slow but motor never let me down one crank always started

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flawed Design Constantly snapping accelerator shear pins (yes, I use the ones marked with an A on top.). Unit constantly clogs with snow - especially when snow is wet. Absolutely useless at clearing the shush that collects at the end of my driveway in the warmer weather. This machine should be taken off the market. I am so frustrated with this hunk of junk!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this new snowblower in August, as any snowblower availability becomes 'hard to find' during the peak of the winter season here in the NorthEast. Did not give five stars as there is no snow here yet. Will submit another review after the snow flies and I use the snowblower.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Premature wear on control lever detents (plastic) The forward/reverse control detent/lock that holds the lever in R2 is wearing out after approximately 12 uses. R1 is so slow it is useless. Will need replacement before another season. Throw angle control cables retain moisture and freeze. Aside from these issues, the machine works very well on deep snow; plenty of power.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great snowblower I owned mine since 2017, very satified, enough power to trow snow far away. Needed a short time to adapt, but it works great after that. Negative: traction. It can lack traction if the snow is not compact enough under the wheel. You need solid ground to be more effective. Knowing that, I would have bought the Trac model

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Workhorse I purchased my 30X 30HD late last year and was thoroughly impressed with its' power. The 3 stage system enabled me to blow snow at a much faster speed than my 24 year old 2 stage, and the more snow that is loaded into it, the "happier" the 3X seems to be. Looking forward to tackling the upcoming 2021/22 winter season.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage I have used this for just one winter and all I can say is…garbage. The shear pins break like nothing and I mean like heavy snow breaks them easily. I am super disappointed as i could do more with my 80s Mastercraft which was a quarter of the size and strength. Selling and never buying another

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A big NO to wet snow This is my second season for this big snowblower. Regular snow it's a beast, wet heavy snow unless you go in 1st gear, even for a couple inches it's plugs after a couple feet. Was told this would handle wet heavy snow, only in 1st gear then I still have to be watchful. I don't recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent machine [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a 930SWE from 2007, it was the best snowblower I ever owned, When my wife bought this 3x 30" for me as a Christmas gift I almost hated to give the other one up, but this one is even better than the last one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is a Beast and the Best of Cub Cadet snow blowers. Make sure you use Dupont snow and ice repellent to keep your chute from clogging in slushy stuff . Sorry that this is the Best snow blower out there

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Last winter, I went throw 4 auger belts We had alot of snow and in tough snow the auger belts did not last too long. Not sure if a single belt isn't enough for the 3 stage augers. After an hour of blowing the belt will get very warm. Had it for 4 years, I'm starting to good at replacing belts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased in early Dec. All features worked for me I have a 100’ double driveway and I was able to clear all in about 15min. I never took out a shear pin all winter with over a foot of snow plus the big ridge left by the snow plow at the road. Lots of power and really throws the snow. Great machine.
