Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice machine I purchased my Cub Cadet XT1 42 used (2016 with only 30 hours). Couldn’t pass on the deal. It’s a great machine for cutting my cottage grass which is approx 3/4 cut acres. Turning radius is fantastic for wheeling around trees rocks etc. Comfortable ride and the ease of use simple. Controls all within reach and smooth operation. I changed the oil which was a 15 minute job and was easy and attainable. Haven’t used the deck wash system yet but I will next time. I’ve purchased a dump cart and the Cub Cadet front bumper as well. This cut down our grass cutting time from about three hours to 40 mins. Great machine!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not honor their Warranty Bought a XT1 42" riding mower in the spring of 2021. This fall while mulching leaves a blade broke which unbalanced the deck and it shook like mad. By the time I got the deck shut down it did replacement damage to the deck. Cub Cadets response was they will pay for the blades and not the deck replacement. The mower is lightly used and in that time has a grand total of 37 hours on it. If you have issues they will do anything not to pay for their warranty work. I will not buy another and will tell everyone I know to avoid for this reason

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reverse cutting feature, easy fuel filler location I have owned my XT1 for 3 years and have not had one issue with this machine, cuts my lawn perfectly, love the deck washout Port, the foot active reverse feature and tight turning radius, high back seating position, colour and headlights, what’s really not to like with this machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from boo Bought this beginning of last season, spent all last season trying to fix a problem with mower belt and engagement wire... Spent at least $800 at the shop and eventually had to hire a welder to add a piece to make it work. This year it worked for two months until I decided to drive over too much cut grass which got under the belt and SEIZED the engine!. This was an awful, expensive mistake of a purchase. Would not reccommend even to my neighbour and that guy is almost as terrible as this mower

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes life easier Well into its third summer, I appreciate the design and ease of use. Service is a breeze, the turning circle is small, and the hydrostatic transmission is wonderful when navigating small areas. Thoughtful feature includes a service reminder which tracks running hours, and easy access to all filters and lube points. It's obvious that the design team has actually cut grass, and incorporated some great design elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and reliable Bought my XT1 in 2017 and so far so good. I don't mow lawns with it but rather weeds, some of which can be 30 inches tall and on a slope. 3/4 acre. Also do the same with my folks old place that is in rural Idaho but has much thicker and taller weeds. I try to not do a full 42" swath but this mower does a great job even though it really takes a beating. I am impressed to say the least! Great mower!!
