Like it alot but just a couple issues
Love the way the mower cuts and steers. Also like the look. I have two issues with it. One is I guess the seat springs are designed for heavy people. I weight about 165 and the things bounces me to death; seams I cannot compress the springs. My 13 year old daughter has driven my old mower many times and the first thing she said after driving this one was; dad I like it but it is way to bouncy. The other issue is when you are driving across the yard with the deck up not mowing; every little bump in the yard it sounds like the deck is going to rattle apart. Unfortunately moles can make the yard a little bumpy. Was not as bad with my old rider.

Decisions Decisions - what lawn tractor should I buy in a virtual minefield of options....I know...let's ask owners what they like and dislike about the lawn tractors they bought. A few trips around the neighborhood and many many comversations later we had narrowed it down to 2 brands. I went back to those 2 neighbors and asked if I could test drive their tractors on my property and they obliged us. After a week of testing out these 2 brands we talked a little more to some contractors that were mowing lawns in the neighborhood, went and looked at the final 2, saw the accessories, priced everything and bought our Big Yellow Babe that day.

Love the Cub
This is my first riding lawn mower so I have nothing to compare it with but my expectations have been exceeded. I shopped several makes and felt that the Cub would be the most comfortable and it is that. After the first cut I was amazed on how good the lawn looked. It cuts beautifully. The sharp turning radius also is impressive. I actually look forward to mowing the lawn and never thought it could be so much fun!!! The Cub has a good amount of power and speed. I also love the mow in reverse feature. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend the Cub. I might even let my wife try it!

The XT1 LT42 was my first riding lawn tractor experience, and I was not disappointed. This mower is a pleasure to drive and I find myself wanting to mow more often. It has plenty of power and the steering radius is awesome. Even though it is larger than my old self propelled walk behind mower, it has more accurate cutting capabilities, leaving my yard with a much better appearance. I also have tried it on my neighboring field, which was quite rough and uneven and had no problems taking care of business. My wife has even decided to mow the lawn on occasion because it's so much fun to drive.

Awesome mower for a great price
I just bought my first cub cadet at tractor supply after reading many reviews and doing my research i had to have one cut my mowing time in half from the old murray i had and i cant get over the look the kohler motor is strong and doesnt hesitate on thicker grass and its plenty fast enough especially when you hit some unsuspecting bumps the springs in the seat could be a little lighter but the high back is deffinitly a plus and the overall comfort suits me perfect i would buy this mower again in a heart beat and will recommend it to anyone looking for a great tractor at a great price

Online Reviews Were Spot On
I recently purchased this mower after looking at and reading many top name brand mower reviews. I sat in, and drove most of them, and this was my top pick due to the comfort of the ride, engine brand/quality, and the small well thought out features. The Kohler engine is by far one of the best options for a small engine now days, so that was a no-brainer! Oil filter placement, and flexible oil change hose, makes changing the oil a breeze. Gas tank and cap location is easy to get to. Seat adjust-ability makes it easy for my teenager to reach the pedals. The innovative deck flush system that will allow an everyday host quick connect to attach is a wonderful idea. I would definitely buy the newly redesigned 2015 Cub again without hesitation.

2nd Cub Cadet for me!
I've only got 12 hours on my new XT1, but I love it as much as I did my first one for 21 years. Cub did an excellent job choosing the Kohler engine for this one too. More than adequate even towing carts and other equipment. Turn radius is excellent, controls are well-placed and efficient. I was not sure at first how I'd like the pedal control, but after one pass around my front yard I was good with it; now I'm spoiled. The results when I'm done mowing are simply awesome.
I look forward to another 20 plus years of good service!

Great so far
Early review of this mower would have to be "so far so good". After researching came down to John Deere D105 and the Cadet. What sold me on the Cadet was the longer warranty. Heard it was better to purchase at a dealer but the local dealer did not have this size for some reason and didnt anticipate getting any in the near future. Purchased at box store and have only used twice thus far. Very nice even cut and mowing in reverse is easily done with turn of key. did have a bolt come loose from the seat on first mow but was easy to tighten back. The look of the mower takes some getting use to, the styling is agressive with nice LED lights. Overall its been great and I hope it gives me lots of years of service.
